I’m not a Trump supporter and live in Indiana. If I were a registered Republican and party meant something I can’t imagine re-electing a man that wanted to hang the former vice president which happens to be the former governor of Indiana.

It doesn't matter who these people vote for. Ideally they vote for Biden to fortify his position. But if they vote blank, not or for JFK is fine too. They will most likely not vote Trump since if they would they would have done so in the primaries.

If she wants to run for president again, supporting Biden is the worst thing she could do for herself.
That won't happen at all. If she sticks to her guns she will not support don trump and position herself as the alternate for next election.
Endorsing Biden might hurt her in the beginning, but in the long run, especially in the Post-Trumpocalyptic era of the Republican party, she will be a beacon of hope for them.
That she hasn't is indicative. By the time she's truly viable for POTUS and the country is so multieth. that the GOP have no choice it'll be decades from now. I just can't see the GOP "going back" after Trump carks it. They chose their "side" long before he came along. There's not enough people in the base to vote for a woman let alone a brown woman (once they find out she is one that is). They're showing no signs of broadening that tent that I can see. Can you?
It's Pennsylvania. Not deep red. One also has to wonder about the sway Pence has in Indiana and the fact he's openly said he won't endorse Trump. Even then nearly 80% still voted for Trump.

Indiana democrat here. A lot of us pulled republican tickets here in order to try to stop Braun from winning the primary.

As an individual who does live in Indiana, I was truly surprised by the lower turnout for Trump. I live in a relatively "Blue" area of the state, but the rural and many suburban areas here are straight up MAGA country,
Same here in Michigan. I was driving through one of the small towns (those 3 or 4 block sized towns) and they had signs on the road that said “You are now entering Trumpland.” It was creepy like you were entering into some Stephen King plot.

It's not so much about Indiana specifically, what's important is the significant "Never Trumper" percentage, that was substantiated with the Indiana primary. It'seems that the average of this Trump protest vote averages out at about 18 or 19% nationwide. Like I said , the fact that this was an Indiana primary isn't the important part of this, but Democrats need to start paying attention to Florida, because if you look at the Florida 2020 Presidential numbers, it could be an unexpected Democratic flip. Here's why . . .
In 2020, Trump carried Florida, and it's 30 Electoral votes, by only 371,686 votes. That's a winning margin of a little over 3% out of almost 11 million votes cast. Now, if you accept the number of 18% of the Republican vote that are the newly-minted Never Trumper Coalition, that either won't vote for Trump, and votes 3rd Party, or flips completely and votes for Biden instead, that would be way more than enough to flip Florida from Red to Blue come November. Let's dive into some numbers . . .
If all 18% carry through with their threat, that would be over 1,000,000 LESS votes for Trump, in 2024 (remember, he only won by 372,000 votes in 2020). But even if ONLY 5% of the average Never Trump vote tally, as opposed to the 18% average, carries through with their claim of not voting for Trump again, that would mean a loss of 283,436 votes from their 5,668,731 votes Trump got in 2020.
Now, even if ONLY 40% of those 283,436 "Never Trump" votes decided to vote for Biden at the same time they're NOT voting for Trump, that's an additional 113,000 votes for Biden. So, if you just add the number of votes that Trump lost from his 2020 total, plus the addition of the 113,000 new Biden votes, that would be a new winning margin of over 396,000 for Biden, which is 25,000 more than Trump won by in 2020.
I know all that's hard to follow, but it does show that Biden can indeed flip Florida (which would be "Game Over" for Trump), if only 5% of the Never Trump voters carry through with their threat, and if 40% of that number, vote for Biden instead.
Despite everything she said about trump she will bend a knee to him and be his VP. Democrates can say goodbye to those votes.

Hoosier here, David. We have an open primary where when you walk in they ask if you want to vote for the dems or republicans. A lot of us dems and independents voted in the republican primary because we had several MAGA crazies running for governor and a lot of us wanted to vote for the least crazy of the crazies. I think that is why Nikki had such big support here this time around.
We have friends who are Republicans in Michigan. They went a bit off the rails during Covid but are back to being normal, sane people, and they HATE Trump. Our one friend lost both parents during Covid and that had a huge impact on them. They say Trump has destroyed their party. These people would NEVER, EVER vote for Biden, but because of Trump being the nominee and because of the abortion bans, (they are livid about them even though Michigan is abortion state. They believe strongly in individual rights and freedoms and abortion bans are completely antithetical to that idea), they tell us they're staying home in November.

At this point, no. It's been months since Nikki Haley dropped out and I doubt the states that are voting now allowed early voting for the primaries months before the date.
Not a huge fan of ranked choice (I could take it or leave it), but you do make an excellent point about the mail ballots. It would be good to get an answer on that.
