Came for the ammo review, made me smile when I saw the range. Tri county local? Great review. Sub’d. 👍🏻
I always had great luck using cci stinger rounds out of my Marlin model 60 and in all honesty that gun would shoot anything very well. Extremely accurate for a $75 dollar .22 Lr that was bought for me in 1981
You would never compete with one of my cz457 with stingers you should try a good cz with a match chamber and barrel you would be amazed.

Enjoyed the show
Mine always go into one hole. I shoot the target until it is only one hole.
Really could you teach me to put all my bullets in one hole that way? Now are you sure you never get them out of the same hole hummm.
Beagleman
Thanks for the info I have been trying to get my hands on some for testing in a semi auto 😁 I know I just can't do anything the easy way
You can do it!
My indoor range is only 25 yrds, I'm getting nickel size groups with my (22lr.) Tippmann Arms AR-M422 w/bipod on bench and Holosun 403r 2moa dot and Holosun 3X magnifier (all metal construction Very nice M4) . Like your second group,( l've only used CCI mini mag solid copper coated 1235) for a beginner I think that's pretty good. With my AR 556 I noticed the same thing after cleaning the bore, it took 10 shots to get back the accuracy, I didn't know that was going to happen after cleaning, guess you need some copper on the lands for the bullet to grab on too , after that, I was getting 1/2" groups with the Primary Arms 1x6 ACSS reticle it's not a precision type scope more of a battle type scope with a chevron arrow , for a beginner I guess happy with that. Can't wait to take them to the outdoor range !
Different lubricants on the projectiles from each manufacturer. It takes a dozen shots to clean out the old lube.
SK actually belongs to Lapua. Before Lapua took over, SK was a third rate ammo. My CZ 457 MTR 20" shoots sub MOA at 100 meters with SK Rifle Match.
Mine does the same. The lapua do not perform much better in my rifle and the cost is much higher.
SK don't belongs to Lapua. We are both part of the Nammo Group....😑
SK ist halt SK😅.
@@Horst-Voll In 1992, Lapua Oy bought SK. Nammo wasn't formed until 1998.
Warm up group was tight! Nice.
I live on an island in southeast Alaska. VERY difficult to get good ammo. I finally got some SK standard it was ok. But not like a Vudoo shoot shoot. Well I found Lapua long range, bought 3 boxes shipped to family in lower us. When I finally got it my very first 10 shot group 1 ”round” hole smaller than a dime. I’m so excited to get some center x and rest of Lapua.
Question what scope? And power. Thank you
Quite a difference between the first and second ten-shot groups.
I do not know who this guy is but he obviously knows how to shoot - very smooth
I would swear those flyers were from a trigger pull or something pulling the barrel up/pushing the stock down. I swear it looked like it jumped.
It's entirely possible. I'm not perfect by any means.
Bullet trace. Watch again, it was messing with my eyes as well. With most the groups landing left of center when most flyers went high/center it crossed the horizontal plane and was visually apparent. At least that what I think it was.
I have a rim x with a proof research 18” pre fit barrell and it prefers the lapua center x over ealey, cci, sk match and a few others. I can consistently shoot sun 1/2” groups at 100 yards. I shot a crow at 284 yards on first shot two weeks ago.
it would have been interesting to see the variation in velocities for each type, even if only SD...
oh this should be interesting!
if you review this video, you can clearly see you pulling the weapon left and right and up.!!
Still shooting winning scores with my CZ 455 and cheap CCI standard
My Voltquartsen shoots the CCI standard like a champ! I bought enough of it to feed it for the rest of its life. 😂
Providing ES and SD with velocities would be great. Thanks
How exciting 🥴
John how do you like the Shilen Ratchet Barrel and how far have you stretch it out to I’m thinking about building a Benchrest 22lr single shot with that barrel was just wondering
You should do an update on Andi scan radar.
Very nice! What size mini Pelican case for the spare .22 ammo? Thank you!
LOL that dry fire @11:29 nice trigger control just a tiny squeak of moment what trigger pull weight do you run must be super light? Some great groups good shooting.
Thank you. I run a Flavio Veloce trigger and it's set to about 4oz.
What is that adjustable shooting stand? Where can I get one? I love it. 🥰
There's several different types you can see in my video here czcams.com/video/Wem7WHkVRn8/video.html. That's the Seb NeoX and it's about $2000 and a year or more wait.
thank you for doing this and what Chrono are you using?
It's this one www.sqi-andix.com/andiscan-micro-a2/
Nicely done young man. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Good shooting what kind of scope and what power
it looked *to me* that yhr video showed a slight upward 'pull' on each shot at 200, at least in that first group...
Also I like to know what kind of front gun rest you are using??
Its a "robot"
I ran the same test [RimX, 16.5" Proof, throws SK RM at 1080@70F] and found that the LR threw fliers [repeated to confirm] and SLR wanted to put them in one hole. POI [50yd] was no different between them or with the SK RM [for which my rifle is zeroed]. So, I suppose, for my rifle...like Midas+, SLR shoots better than SK RM--but not $14 more-dollars-a-box-better. The LR was lights-out in a buddies Savage(!), so to every rifle its own. It's nice to have options, so thanks for the review.
Glad you enjoyed it.
looks more like a commercial for SK rifle match to mo
How can I get some information on who built your rifle and the scope you have on it??
I'm sorry but I don't have any info on the builder. I bought that unit used from someone who had the work done in Texas somewhere. The stock is a Dima and my local gunsmith did the work for that.
What chronograph are you using?
What is you view that 22LR are not more consistency with placement down range ??? Maybe the bullet shape ?? Just pulling on straws John. Thanks
If I understand what your'e asking, I'd probably say it's because the user has control in the loading process so it usually comes down to taking time to find the best ammo for your particular barrel. And of course lightweight bullets are more affected by conditions so that is a thing to consider too. Everything about 22lr makes it more challenging at distance compared to a centerfire.
@@FClassJohn Thanks for the information asked Sir. Nice shooting too.
Just me but if i were checking out a new ammo id shoot all of one at both ranges then switch. Changing ammo no matter which manufacturer is going to cause some discrepancy. But as fast as you were racking them through at 50 i saw some different scope positioning. Good shooting either way.
Great video. What grain weight were the 2 bullet offerings???? The velocity sure seems slow for a long range round. But that is what I ask what the bullet weights were for the lapua ammo. Agulia has a 30 gr offering that is moving at 1700+ FPS !!! Wich is great to hunting & self defense. But for Long range you would think they would use a 50 to 65 gr bullet and try to push it at 1200 to 1500 FPS. ??????
Thank you and they’re 40gr
They need to stay subsonic
could these be boattail slugs?thry are supposted to fly flatter at long range.
On a heeled bullet?
Why no tuner on your 22lr?
John like your videos but, slow down and squeeze the trigger the dry fire at 10:14 was pretty wonky;)
That sounded and looked like he closed the bolt, felt that it didnt chamber a round, and then opened the bolt without pulling the trigger.
Would a barrel tuner help with the groups?
Yeah probably. 😉
Where can I get a Berger hat?
cz 453 and sk standard plus give approx. the same results.
I don't know much about these fancy . 22s, what is he talking about when he says they use the same lube?
A lot of the competition level lead 22s have some kind of lube. Lapua/SK typically have more of a waxy type lube and Eley has more of an oily one. If affect how they shoot if you swap between lubes without letting them break in a little.
Beat me to it. I also have some lots that I am testing. The initial Lapua Long Range testing is going well. Not sure if Super Long Range will do better enough to justify the cost difference. I'm curious as to how your chronograph speeds compare to the box speed (i'm seeing 1100 fps in 70 degree weather). Can you give the numbers of the boxes you tested? You can take the first 2 digits on the box and put a 3 in front of it to get the test barrel velocity in m/s and then convert to ft/s.
I have another video that is cute up where I actually shot a match at 200 yards and it did exceptionally well with the super long range. I’ll post that one up later today or tomorrow. I’ll send you the data on my boxes.
Both lots are 334m/s so it’s good to see both we’re pretty darn close to each other. 334mps equals 1095fps so they were definitely shooting slower than the box. It was about 40 degrees out.
Also I should clarify that I'm using a 20" barrel so that will account for some speed variance as well.
@@FClassJohn 336 m/s median for my 5 lots via Labradar
@@MrJayBlackwind I have no doubt it's a combo of temp and barrel length causing the variance.
I think SK Rifle Match & SK Long Range perform better that Lapua Long Range & Supper Long Range the cost is significantly less with all the SK AMMO . THE FIRST TIME I shot SK LONG range in my Anschutz MPR 64 at 200yds with a Weaver t-36 my first 5 rds were in a 21/2” circle and for me I was amazed as the Eley match I was using was not that good ie (neither were lot tested). When I tried to order the lot of SK LONG RANGE IT WASN’T available 🥴
Bonjour pouvez vous me détailler votre carabine merci.
Was checking 5 lots of that Lapua Long Range in Bergara 14R with ECTuner v2 - looking for the tightest group before tuning. Had a 11mm wide& 15mm high one. Next weekend I will try out what the tuner is able to do.
Good looking rifle John
Thank you.
What is the purpose of reloading so quickly? Is this just for effect?
Just habit
Lapua x 22lr is so consistent.
I had a lot better luck with the super long range stuff the long range shot ok out of my cheap setup lol
Very interesting sir 🫡
Nice video until the 200 yard targets... could not see impact...??
*IMO the price point isn't worth it*
I just don’t get if sl shoots better why anyone would pay more for lapua
Hi John what did es and sd s look like think I'd be hard pushed to swap from SK long-range match. Mind you getting 22 ammo is in short supply again
I don't honestly remember offhand but I know when I looked at the ES/SD numbers they were well within reasonable ranges.
@@FClassJohn cheers John 👍👍
Its. obvious that you are pulling off sight with each trigger pull.
How much is a box of lips ?
.40 to .50 a shell.
I weigh each round and the rounds with nearly the same weight I mark as match ammo.
Would have been much more useful if you tested it with a common off the shelf rifle. Not much value as is.
Nice review. What scope is on the rig, John?
Leupold mk5
What chrono is that you are using?
It's the andiscan www.sqi-andix.com/andiscan-micro-a2/
Weight it next!
You are out of focus… the back of the roof is really sharp 🤭
hey john what scope you running??
That's a Leupold Mark5HD 5-25
👏
Wow...I need a robot to hold my gun too! Maybe you can get one to pull the trigger for you as well. LOL! Who would have thought "joy-stick" shooting, Not impressed!
Different strokes for different folks, but that's F-Class for ya.
I'm not a fan of this competition style, but it does isolate the shooter (less variance) for equipment testing.
It takes all kinds for the 2nd amendment to survive not just the type of shooting you like to do. Open your mind and support it all.
Is that not what we do waist ammo . But it’s just so enjoyable.
The thing is, when you need to take a shot, you won’t be able to fire 30 rounds to find your zero. You need to be able to hit on the first shot. You’ll have to go with the round that is consistent for your rifle but even then your gun won’t be as accurate on the first shot. That’s why you won’t get amazing first-shot results out of a .22 rimfire and will need to go with a better caliber. That being said, the first grouping was very impressive for a .22! Even at only 50 yards! Nice job!
Trigger cam really makes these kinds of videos.
everything is secured with screws in place what fun is that ?
Hey John love your channel... that rifle would shoot better given to the right hands. Watched many videos, it doesn't perform nearly as well as my DPGunworks rifle. Suggest sending it to Kenny from Eagle Eye Shooting and let him do his magic
Need higher power scope 45x
I liked them was not a fan of the price per box but not a bad 22lr ammo now the snb club gave us better stats , and was 1/2 the cost and easier to get more of .
