@@esofagodrmtdgnplstc I think we are talking about two different kind of Macro. Either from zoom where you are far away from the subject or when you have the camera close to your subject. I have the mate60pro and it has an amazing macro where you need to be very close to the subject

In fact I can't see a fair winner here, in some situations the Vivo is better, in others the Pura 70, in others the Xiaomi, today it is difficult to choose a winner, as it is more of an interpretation of colors...

Agree. Budget is Vivo. Xiaomi lack in dynamic range. Huawei stabilisation weak abit and the skintone for selfie video doesnt looks good. All 3 zoom are great
There should be a rematch once the vivo x100 ultra is out. I do agree they all look great it's just the vivo is much cheaper compared to the two.

It is bettter in good light generally but Vivo is the best at not having jitter at night on the main cam. The telephoto on the other hand is the worst at night Vivo
Xiaomi ultra I believe has macro telephoto with UW, 3.2x and 5x camera. And Even snapshot feature is possible.

Xiaomi 14U is indeed at another level. Sorry guys if you look closely at the other 2, at first glance it looks sharp but alot of fake Ai sharpening is in play & you will see it when you view in 65in or bigger TV.

In my opinion, today's phones have the same camera results. Especially for photos during the day, just choose your own taste.Personally, I like iPhone iOS and Huawei Harmony...
Xiaomi ultra has a telephoto macro and snapshot. You just need to know how to use it. Obviously.

The xiaomi does have telefoto macro called supermacro and it has snapshot called fastshot.
Vivo is best for photography and general video in the price....xiaomi 14 ultra is complete package overall with slightly higher prices.
What a wonderful comparison! The thing that struck me the most was Xiaomi and Leica's ease of playing with light and shadow. the photos seem almost alive to me, the daytime photos of course. The others are doing very well in terms of rendering, the Vivo excels at night in photos even if it's not my cup of tea because I find them too sharp, you feel that it comes out of a smartphone. The Huawei performs really well considering that it has just been released. These 3 will definitely have aficionados because they are exceptional. Bravo for your outstanding comparison !

This is the first time I'd say that they are all almost the same with only exception being some colour deviations here and there. Zoom still goes to Xiaomi thanks to AI superzoom but Vivo isn't far behind. Otherwise, you won't feel bad buying either of these. As for videos, Xiaomi wins. Hands down.

The answer should be obvious. Don't get too serious with dxomark ratings!
Dont bother with DXO. Questionable? Keep in mind they rated the 12S Ultra and 13 Ultra BELOW the 11 Ultra!
Scores released as as expected 14 Ultra rated very low
1:15 Edge detection on the hair of Huawei is insanely good.
Great video as always. Though I wonder why no tele macro on 14 Ultra and snapshot mode is also there. Its just a little motion icon in the default photo mode you need to press. It has tele macro capabilities. Anyway all of them are really really close. Sometimes its a matter of taste or you need to pixel peep.
I noticed the vivo sometimes having very punchy colours. You left it at vivid I assume.
Also whats wrong with Huaweis stabilisation. That looks like turned off. But you cannot turn it off afaik. Maybe it detected tripod mode or something. Or was it some early firmware and they fixed that already with an update? Especially as the night time video looked a lot better and you see less light dancing around thanks to the sensor shift stabilisation. This is until you run and only Vivo keeps it up there for some reason. Though I don't like the rest of its performance.
Btw. do you happen to know if Huawei put an RYYB colour pattern on the IMX989 on the Pura 70 Ultra?
That could explain HDR advantages and better light handling.
Front cam at night is something Vivo and Xiaomi do better. Huawei needs to update this. Too soft and blurry. Shutterspeed probably too low.
Daylight looks way better. And besides Xiaomis poorer HDR performance they seem on par.

Bro, i dunno if u noticed but the focus of your vids and camera are kinda off.
Some, if not most, u might have focused unintentionally at lighted source, esp the night 4k zoom vid test.
Pura seems to be on focus before u shifted it down or onto the inner room then out and that tend to lost focus as the light contrast is very big thus the focus not there.
Similar for the Vivo one.
Might wanna re-look into this as it affects output alot.

14 ultra just one shot everyone in camera market but most of the bbk paid bloggers are taking shaking photo don't try to capitalize 14 ultras shot and saying vivo is better.. Vivo is no where near as good as xaiomi 14 ultra... May be x100ultra can put some fight.. Waiting for that.. This year oppo x7 ultra and 14 ultra is best among camera for their flexibility to capture anything by manual owns preference.. Vivo is just stock camera shots

it looks like pura 70 ultra still has an issue where if phone is heating up, bokeh in portrait mode will be disabled.

Notice Vivo zoom shots at night it was far clearer and the colors are appealing than others. Portrait mode better than others. Hdr better.
For a phone not at the top tier of the line to deliver to this extent shows that you are paying more than you get.

Huawei claimed the best by Dxo mark who is testing zoom from 2x to 10x, beacause they think upper levels are unneccesary and mostly unusable, dinic range the best,macro level Huawei excellent, night photo too, only flaw really is night time video stabilisation and on 4k 60fps due to weaker chipset (US sanctions...) but its a new device give it a few months and updates to see what it can do...Greetings

Every phone has option to adjust the background blur.
I think all three phones produced very good results. But Xiaomi stands out more in some matters. And xiaomi has telephoto macro.
Can't go wrong with any of these smartphones. But for the price, Vivo wins!
