Its usually on weekends where reservations are absolutely required, but during weekdays it can either be quick seating or just about a half hour wait, it is long but patience is key

I disliked Gazebo very much. Super over rated. California has much better brunch food.

@@cambry2115 we waited an hour for our table, there were birds flying around everywhere and the staff barely cleaned the tables, the food was sooooo mediocre (I can make better breakfast food). It was ultimately so dirty and the food was meh. Not worth an hour wait time and not worth the money!

I was psyched you mentioned Okazuya. I have recommended that place to everyone who goes to Maui. We love that place. The last day on our last trip, we cancelled our plans and just hung out on the beach, got a couple of Maui onion burgers, and chilled. It was the best day ever. We’ve also been to Down the Hatch and Monkeypod.

Best cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life is Cinnamon Roll Place in Kihei. AMAZING!! Their mango bread was also so delicious!

I grew up on The Gazebo, the smell that comes from there is forever in my memories.
We just got back from Maui and loved many of the places you mentioned but didn’t know about some of them. Now we have something to look forward to on our next trip! Coconut’s Fish Cafe in Kihei was amazing. We ate breakfast at Kihei Caffe twice. Both places typically have a line, but they move fast and so worth the wait!
This was awesome. I wrote down all your recommendations. Last time I was in Maui was 1999. Now we’re planning a trip there this summer. Can’t wait!

What's great about this video is I've been to many places, but there were so many other places I could have added that I've returned to again and again. There it truly something for everyone! My #1 is Maui Tacos in Kihei. That pulled pork burrito is a gift from the heavens and they have housemade salsas that are to die for!

Just got back from Maui. Was already a fans of Monkeypod and Kihei Caffe, and went to both a couple of times. But we also visited Down the Hatch, Leota's and Joey's Kitchen on your recommendation and all were really fabulous! The crab and lobster grilled cheese was really good at Down the Hatch, but the mermaid fries there were the best I believe I have ever had! Thanks Blake!

Aloha Blake! Thank you for the recommendations! My husband I love Maui and can't wait to return! In Nov. 2019, got to experience Down the Hatch's Lobster Crab Grilled Cheese...it was amazing! May 2021, bucket list highlight for me was Mama's Fish House on Mother's Day, an experience I will never forget. It's a reservation restaurant, but I thought I would give a shot out anyways. The view, the food, the service, and our waiter, Nicholas, who was born and raised in Maui was unforgettable! Loved the Polynesian Black Pearl for dessert...almost too pretty to eat...but of course I did. Stayed in Kihei first trip and in Kahana this past May. Looking forward to trying Gazebo for breakfast! Mahalo!

Aloha! We have been to MAUI three times and absolutely LOVE Maui out of all the Hawaiian Islands! 2 of the 3 trips we were in Lahaina on Oct. 31st for the Mardi Gras of the Pacific! We were staying in Kihei as we have friends that own a condo there. It's also time to return too! Our First trip we drove, HONEST TO GOD, 1,200 miles on Maui in two weeks! We went everywhere and some places 2 or 3 times! Yes we drove to Hana twice and also to the top of Haleakala twice too! We felt like Ohana and the desire to go back is very strong as we felt the "SPIRIT" of the Island. OH.....I also LOVED the "FRESH" made Poi too....Yummy! Aloha and Mahalo for this Great Video!!

Maui is my favourite place in the world. The weather is amazing, the island is beautiful, there food is exquisite, the people are really nice if your also nice, the culture is beautiful, love the language, the beaches are the best, modern and tropics hotels

Blake your suggestions are fantastic. You are the perfect example of the Aloha Spirit too. I'd only like to add besides using the proper reef-friendly sunscreen is any time you see any trash on the beaches or in the waters, people please pick it up and put it in a proper trash can. Leave No Trace but leave a part of your Aloha behind instead. 🥰

We just got home from Maui. The hyatt regency was amazing. Mama’s Fish house was so good and I don’t eat fish. Whalers village was fun to walk up too. Monkey pod was good and hulla grill. Cool cats was fun.

Definitely the Grindz on Maui for breakfast. The pancakes with the macnilla syrup is the bomb! Also Leoda’s in Maui. The best sandwiches and pies.
