She’s the best most mesmerizing female pop contralto vocalist on planet earth. Dimash the best male pop-op and Diana his Russian counterpart. Her most EPIC performance when at age 14,she performed “ Rechenka” ( River in English) . This is the performance that catapulted her to international worldwide stardom. A MUST next reaction. But I have a request that you react to her closest and best friend, “Park Ki Young”, I prefer Park Ki Young because they have about the same vocal range but Park Ki Young is a tad more versatile and can belt them with equal emotional impact and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz flamenco, and classical ( opera). And her vibrato is a bit more rounder. A few of my favorites that are worthy of reacting to: ( either privately or publicly)

When she came to prominence at age 14 and we saw how good she was - it was almost hard to see how she could get any better. But she has! And her vocal coach recently said she had much more potential! Jaw on the floor is an understandable reaction ;) Diana Ankudinova is next-level talent. Next level. Thank you for your reaction. A couple of weeks after this she performed a Russian folk song called "Oh, It's Not Yet Evening" that is equally as stunning.
she is only 18, you have seen her marked improvement over the last year, imagine her in 10 years. I just hope she stays grounded and true to herself and doesnt get steered in the wrong direction as so happens with singers.

I don’t think there is another singer on the planet that sounds close to her. I learned recently that she arranged this song to her voice. She is so good at doing this. Choosing the minor key just fits her style of singing. I really love this performance! It show how much she has improved her upper and lower registers. Thanks for your reaction.
It's the dissonance. Put aside the yodels, harmonics (overtones and subharmonics), and depth of timbre. Her real trademark is the use of dissonance and how it can unsettle you even if you don't know music theory. Harmonic minor scales, microtones, minor keys. There are few songs she sings where dissonance isn't front and center.

All I can say is a picture is worth a thousand words. Justin the expression on your face in the video tells it all. Diana's performance is a shock and awe moment. She's done that to me many times. The most unique female voice I've ever heard! By the way, I've been listening to singers for over 60 years! I've seen Russian commentators call her the "Golden Voice of Russia." The first time I ever heard Diana was 2017 Kids Voice Russia, when she was 13.
I just want to point out how every note she sings blends into the other, so the song doesn't feel segmented. That, her rich tone, and the simple melody create this hypnotic affect.

Hearing the song in minor was so different - I had to listen twice. The poignancy is overwhelming. Reflecting on her sad and tragic early life brings gravitas to the song. Is she a contralto - some of the notes are out of that range - but she covers them with ease. What a talent.

I haven't been a fan of hers because I believed it was an artifice, a quirk. What I just witnessed was utterly with out peer. First taking that song and giving it such a somber almost depressed feel coupled with that voice was a stroke of genius!! She has expanded her reach with this voice. It used to drop out quite early, but now to be able to stretch her range as she has I must now make her part of my top 6 female artists. Starting with "My Twins" Daneliya Tuleshova and Angelina Jordan, Morissette, Sohyang, Gracie-Jayne Fitzgerald of Wales, and now Diana Ankudinova. I must also add Charlotte Summers of Spain.
Coupled with her personal story of overcoming severe negativity. To be able to sing at all is a miracle in itself. This was a masterpiece from conception to finished product, this performance was guided by God. I was as awestruck as you Justin. I started crying the minute I realized what she was doing vocally. Absolutely stunning!! Great reaction, Justin, I would even say it was your best because you didn't talk.
I'm not sure you would see it as me pulling your leg. Certain details you can't convey in this medium. Love you both. Say hi to LaLa and that she is missed.

Cher is the closest that I can think of that has this quality. She's a contralto, but Diana is a dynamic contralto .. amazing❤️
