When a man like Joe Alwyn can take a character like Geddy that was so mean and brutal and have nearly ever one dislike him then he knows he did his thing right in the movie and with every thing he acts in, he keeps on getting better and better at each role he plays and he nailed this one for sure. Although all the actors and actresses were really good and Cynthia Erivo that played Harriet is good in ever thing she plays in as well Joe Alwyn. I was glad in the movie they did not show a lot of people getting whipped and beat up. Although 1 part they did but usually in slave movies they make it all about hanging, whipping, ect. And I was glad this movie did not have a lot of violence in it constantly like that.. Best Hariett film ever for me. Excellent movie
I know we're supposed to be swooning over this guy but when she said "for a vile and wicked idea. For the sin of slavery. God don't mean people to own people Gideon!" Phew! Talk your shit, Harriet
The movie was inspiring for sure. However I found it disturbing just remembering how slaves were treated. It’s sad how black people can still be treated at times. They should never have been slaves or brought. Very sad. Shame we can’t history.
Slavery is absolutely a horrible thing that has happened and racism is unfortunately still happening but I also think that is why movies like this is so important.
Hi! I have posted scenes from all of Joe's movies including The sense of an ending. It is in the playlist on my channel. However that one is restricted by copyright and can not be seen in some countries.
He seems to be particularly interested in problematic roles. Even though he is by all accounts an unproblematic person in real life. Was always asking the actress who played Harriet if she was ok and not triggered or traumatized by his acting after they did a scene.
I like the movie However, But I don’t like it when they say the N-Word in the film to black people as a black male it Seems to be offensive, But Joe alwyn Nailed his role
His roles in those movies highlight the injustices, prejudices, evils that not only exit but that are passed from generation to generation. Both films are relevant today.
not only is Joe a handsome dude, he's also a bloody talented actor as well
He played this part well!
We love a Brit that can also yeehaw
Dew wee naow?

Same. He’s so blase about the fact that he WILL hurt her.
Same
Wow good that I see the original because in my language he said he wouldn’t hurt her at all…
He’s a great actor who’s getting better and better. Imo

He ‘s so bad but he does it so well
Oh no…not a problematic role…dammit!

Joe es un papucho
It's Cynthia's acting. Awesome script...wrong actress.

Who put da n word in his script
That was allowed during slavery times
That was common in those days
He sure likes the edgy white supremacist/Nazi roles.
gurllll💀💀💀
@@sarahbaguhin3355 His dream is to star in a WWII movie. He would make a great Reinhard Heydrich.
He’s only played this guy and Klaus in Operation Finale. So only two of them have been “White supremacist” in his career.
@@phoenixrose1192 Oh and he was a homophobe too.
And he wants to star in a WWII movie; who else would he be cast as other than a top Nazi?
