yeah but u know that its remake right? they named it definitive but made a complete new game.. yet Gta games more like "remastered the same version". so its completely different case. Why did they name it definitive.... i have no idea!

@@instantregretplaylist bro i said that mafia 1 which has published in 2002 but the new edition of it published in 2020 and I played it in 2011 so i knew it was very underrated game game very few person knew about the game, most of them love gtr that time only but i was very big fan of the story line and aslo able to play it in low configuration computer, so, i have respect for that also and without that the new one would not be here

@@Costume978 in czech dub he makes kinda emotion there, and after that when he talk with Salieri he is horrified from that incident. Thats why so many Czechs Love the originál mafia because czech dub is antoher level then english one
lot of people knows oroginal mafia only under english dubbing, so i recommend listen czech dabbing too, its alot of emotions and voice actors did really nice job

I liked the original version speech but death in DE feels more in line with who Tommy is
He knew all along he was going to die he was relived at the end to know that he died old and keeping his family safe
I preferred the old versions monologue but he does sound like he is surprised and DE knows what's going on

@TheBlueboy7777 how is the original more realistic? If his family was there they would obviously hear a shotgun blast and see what it was, then see him laying there and come to him. Original is like they didn't even exist. And the way he says "yes?" in the original makes zero sense. He'd be going by a different name being in witness protection, so when they call him Mr Angelo, he knew what was going on, he wouldn't be all confused like in the original.

The original scene (dying alone) was better.
He was in the witness protection program, always looking over his shoulder, never married, never had kids. Died alone like a dog.
They greased him one day when he was least expecting it, while mowing his lawn. Meaning that you never really get out. There's only one way you get out from the mob: in a body bag.

Its different eras and technologies when Mafia 1 came out it was ahead of its time. And now after 20 years we got definitive edition which is great also. But that cant compare at all.

Just ended Definitive Edition Last Night One of the saddest endings in video games I witnessed Tommy was a nice guy just got betrayed
DE is good but bro the overall impact of the scene is much better in the original especially the monologue but really the whole scene with him talking about the unfortunate reality all the while the camera pans over his dead body is great.

It’s a generic family speech at first, but when this stranger comes out of the car and says “Seleari sends his regards.” You’re intended to realize he wasn’t talking about the family he loved and built, he was talking about his family in the mafia. It got him out of bed in the morning (gave him purpose’ and stopped him from falling when he was too tired to take that last step (Killing his friends was clearly that last step he never could take. Frank is proof of this, and sam is what made him take that last step.)
In he original he dies sad and alone and talks about the world. The game isn’t about that, it’s about the Mafia. DE is much more fitting
@@amazingmrpig6369 I agree with you about the speech and to add, I'm happy they changed how Tommy reacted before his death in DE. The original showed that he was unaware and surprised. It just doesn't make sense that after betraying Salieri, you'd be thinking about how you're scott free from everything. The speech and his reaction just adds to the fact that he has accepted his fate because of his former life and the decisions that led to his demise.
I’m glad how in the Definitive Tommy remains unphased, almost like he’s been expecting this for years and now he knows it’s his time, and just faces death with confidence. In the original he looks surprised and scared.
mafia definitive edition always finds a way to make me cry, its such a beautiful story, and the revisions they made to the original story are so perfect.
This ending was so sad
I know somewhere a fan of Tommy Angelo in the first Mafia game cried as he or she had to say their farewell goodbye to a likeable character.

I finished the definitive edition of the first game in April this year and I just got the second yesterday and already finished it. I just find it crazy that the story’s line up like that. How Vito and Joe were the ones who killed him
I like how Vito gets out of the car in this scene and you catch a glimpse of his iconic Jacket made this scene much more menacing considering you know who wears that jacket gives an outlook of oh shit that's Vito well Tommy's fucked 😂

I just finished mafia 2 the definitive edition and it’s incredible. I’m halfway through mafia 3 now and it’s just as good. Definitive edition makes the game feel brand new

His speech in the original is way more realistic and has more impact over his dead body, the definitive edition didnt undersrand tommy character by putting him as a gangster even in the start of the game.
His original speech is good but the death in the newer one is more accurate

Rockstar needs to take notes from this because this is how you properly kill off a main character and introduce a new main character at the same time. They had Vito from the second game be apart of Tommy's murder who's from the first game and it was well done. Unlike GTA 5 where they introduce Trevor by having him kill Johnny and it made absolutely no sense.

Will never forget the first playthrough of Mafia 2, Joe and Vito doing a hit for some easy cash to pay off Bruno... wasn't until Vito said "Mr. Angelo?" Then all the pieces clicked together... I was so hyped, brilliant writing. Tommy is nothing but a rat in the eyes of Vito and Joe. A job. A target. The story of Tommy Angelo ends by two made men who know nothing of the Salieri family, the man who killed Don Morello, and took down the Salieri family to protect his family.... two made-men memorising a message on a note, killing Tommy and then concentrating on their main problems or paying Bruno, covering their trail from The Commission due to the Chinatown massacre... they forgot about this kill as soon as they got back in the car most likely.
It's a good reminder that life can end in an instant. One second, you're watering your plants and lawn, and the next, you're bleeding out on the ground.

Meh even if Vito didnt accept the job someone else would've came for Tommy Tommy crossed and pissed off alot of people before entering witness protection so it was only a matter of time at least he got many years of peace with his family before getting tracked down and killed

Ya know I’ve said it once and I’ll say it before, if you think about it knowing from Mafia 2 Tommy was moved by the government to Empire Bay which knowing is probably the biggest mafia stronghold in the US since it had 3 mafia families operating it……probably wasn’t the best place for him lol
Why did he actually confirm his real name when no one could or should know it at all ?
The definitive edition is 100x better than the original game, even more that they already had Vito and Joe as characters to go kill Tommy, the original game they just used two random NPCs that in the future would become actual characters.
Its like comparing graphics in 2002 to modern 2020's. I disagree, the original is more realistic and no drama queen.

I wish they'd kept Vito and Joe in the suits for the definitive edition.
Nah wouldn't make sense the og only had two regular mobsters whereas DE incorporated them to be Vito and Joe to fix the continuity so this way it makes sense
Yeah, I get it. They use their default outfits. I put Vito in a blue suit for the mission, but I had no way of fixing Joe into a brown one.

This game was decent... I wish it was more rated M. It felt like a mafia game for little kids, which should just not be a thing at all

The remake was great. Loved it, did justice to the original. But the ending was better in the original. The confrontation with Sam was much more poetic and the ending monologue was much more meaningful. It feels as if the ending was "dumbed down" in the remake. Really wish they kept it as it was.
