- One of the most encouraging films that a Christian could watch, this motion picture is a Christian version of "It's a Wonderful Life". High school senior Dan (David White) does not think he's impacting anyone for the Lord. He thinks he's missing out on all the fun. So one day, he wishes he'd never become a Christian. He gets his wish...and then sees things from a very different perspective.

I know it is not a competition, but it is almost assured that I had a more difficulte father. I saw myself in the role of Dan Burgess. For years, I questioned if I mattered to at least one person, and God has used a child, a senior citizen, and even a sunset to answer my question. It's a great feeling to know that my living is not in vain.

I had a friend who I knew in 2008 onwards. I spoke to her about the Lord. I invited her to church and she went once, and I didn't push her when she wasn't that keen on going again. I just continued being her friend. We were friends for a few years. She moved away and we lost contact for a number of years. I managed to get hold of her again one day, and she told me she had made the commitment for Jesus. She and her husband are now both saved, baptised, serving and on fire for Jesus. She often tells me it was my influence and all my prayers for her that have born fruit. Now she's not just my friend, but also my sister. Praise Jesus! Bring more into Your Kingdom, Lord!

I once had such a desire and questions like Dan. But today I rejoice in my Savior and I desire His will to prevail in my life. I wasn’t perfect in all my university years but now I thank God and I’m giving all to him in my 23rd year of life. Lord Jesus thank you for Dying for me Thank you Father for loving me.

He's the true meaning of life ( John 3-15, Galatians 2:20, 1 John 5). without JESUS life is meaningless! but a life with Jesus is meaningful, it's everything!
Life is filled with choices everyday, each one having it's unique consequences. We won't ever understand how much we effected others nor realize how much others effected us in this side of heaven. But, we need to remember we are here on earth for God's purposes and not our own. We will be forever thankful when we see those we prayed for and who will be in eternity because of our part in their life . What an awesome reward to know we helped them find the Lord on earth through our obedience to what we said and modeled in our walk with Jesus Christ.

Good film. I'm glad I watched it. As some other commenters pointed out, I may not forget this one. Even when we think we are failing and and not doing much for the Lord, even our prayers are helping holding some things together.

Great message regarding marriage and relationships in this movie. "Are you ready to marry her... No. Then you're not ready for a relationship with her". Tough. Very tough. But this has to be one of the most solid pieces of advice for us men, that is, focus on the Lord and on your mission and purpose first. Amen.

My father was off the map abusive. In fact, for the first 20 years of my Christian faith, I could not pray to the Father, only to Jesus. Yet, I do not have the huge hole in my heart anymore. My troubled upbringing has brought me so close to God, my Father.
Remember, a Christian lives on the promises of God and He promised to work out all things for good. We are to give thanks for all things. In fact, I now believe I had the best earthly father I ever could have had. I am so grateful for my earthly father who told me how he delights in thoughts of torturing and killing me. His best friend described his rage at me as 'jaw-dropping.' We are talking aboout years of abuse.
Through that severe agony (my cross to bear), it brought me to close to God, my Father. It might sound funny, but it is as if my Father tucks me in at night. It is the relationship I always dreamed of. Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him - and the Father! I hope these words are a blessing to you.

Great movie. (1975) I remember before i became a Christian, I thought I wouldn't have fun and would be bored. Now that. Now that I am older, I have so much joy in me from the Lord, people see me as a nice person, I believe they see Jesus in me. Without him I am nothing with no joy. Praise God. this is such a simple film. I can really see the flip side of non-believers and believers. I can live to testify that life without Jesus is truly horrendous, there is no love, no kindness, alot of selfishness and bullying. I came to Chris in 2016, I prayed to God that he would never take me back to the world. I don't want this world. I just want Jesus.

I never felt like I was missing out. I didn't want to party and do the stupid things kids did. I liked to read, take long bike rides, and stay out of trouble with my parents, which meant doing chores on time and keeping my part of the shared kid's bedroom clean.

i feel sorry for young people that have parents that restrict thier childrne like this, going out and having fun with friends is what creates alot of memories and new friends wich you treasure for life, its not a sin to go out and have fun. when i was out on parties dancing and meeting people, i didnt drink if i didnt feel like it, you dont have to drink, you can dance and have fun without drinking. sitting at home and wasting away those important years of your life is a big loss.

This just shows u , that never know the diff ur making, thro ur quiet an gentle witness.
This unique senario gave the actors a chance to let there hair down. But at the end they went back to being the powerful Christians that they are. That takes faith!
I remember seeing this movie about 20 years ago... can't believe how young David White was in this movie. I like most of his films.
I was actually fun to watch... and the message and life lessons are so valuable for living a truly rewarding and meaningful life... not necessarily easy and without difficult situations... but the Lord is always there and wants what is best for us... even though we may not realize it at the time.

At first I said this looks like an old movie but then I got so intrigued and couldn't get my eyes off the movie praise the lord!!

The Christmas Box is such a beautiful movie. We don't know the struggles others have faced, but we need to look beside the rough exterior and do "good to those around us" and in turn, we might reach those that seem unreachable and understand them and change their hearts....and, at the same time, it will change us for the better! Finally, we need to pray for the elderly and widows, etc.
