Amba Ghat is a mountain pass on Ratnagiri-Kolhapur road (NH 204) in Maharashtra, India, at a height of 2000 ft above sea-level. This ghat lies in the Sahyadri mountain ranges (Western Ghats) and has picturesque mountain-scapes and a pleasant climate. It is situated near Shahuwadi, Kolhapur district and has nearby interesting places are Pawankhind and Vishalgad fort. It is a convenient weekend destination for Kolhapur tourists.

Hats off to the person, who is driving bus on a very curvy roads. Not an easy task to drive on curvy roads particularly in hilly areas. However, an amazing and spectacular drive with awesome beauty all around. An adventurous trip on bus is too much. Superb and fantastic trip

Amba ghat is one of the safest ghats in Sahyadri ranges. It is dangerous to drive here at night during monsoon because of heavy fog.

Looks like a Tata bus, from that horrendous irritating brake sounds. Ashok Leyland buses in the 1980's used to make brake sounds, but have matured since then. For over 2 decades now AL buses don't make brake sounds. I have yet to understand why the hell are Tata buses designed to make such brake sounds! If it's not by design, then why the hell don't they change their brake supplier and fix the problem?!?
