그냥 우리 인생이네요..
부모 품에서 벗어나 자신의 삶을 찾아가는
자식들의 독립의 순간이 저 어설픈 날개짓에 다 담겨있죠..
자식이 혹여 못날아 오를까 걱정스레 바라보고 챙기는 부모의 애타는 심정도 어미새의 행동에 담겨있구요..
보면서 내내 마음이 따뜻하면서도 먹먹한 느낌을 지울수가 없었네요..
황조롱이가 논위에서 정지비행 하는 모습은 정말 신기하고 멋있죠 이런 멋진 새가 우리나라에 있는 게 행운이에요. 새끼들이 다른 곳에서 번식 하고 잘 살았으면 좋겠네요

@@KawaiiSoulB42 To be fair, they have the instinct to fly. Equally, the adult feathers are for their flight. And birds are hollowed bone plus kestrels are very light, so even if they don't quite get the first glide, the big fall won't kill them normally.
The last thing is that the parents will typically stick around for a while to make sure the babies are good.
I once saw a young robin, probably about a week or two early from the nest as she still had just enough down between her adult feathers to make her look like a real round robin. She would stand on a chair and mom and/or dad would fees her a worm or something. She actually convinced some of the other birds (I think starlings) to feed her after harassing them. It was funny.
By the end of the first week, most of her baby down was gone and she was gliding around the yard. I was worry the first week if something was wrong, but once I saw her flying, I knew she was fine. By the second week, her baby feathers were all but gone. And she would only stand on the chair every now and then and by the end would be waiting for the seeds like the other birds. Occasional I'd see her on a fence post, but we had to get rid of the bird feeder because my co worker saw a rat eating in it.
Another was a little sparrow. Similar thing: Adult feathers but still had some down tucked between. He was fine, but he was crossing the road, so we kind of shooed him off. He chirped and a reply in the trees and we saw mama watching. We made sure he was away from the road and let him be.
Always remember that:. If it has most of it's adult feathers, it's typically fine and mom and dad are usually near by and can probably fly alright. If the chick has all it's down, it needs to be in a nest. If you can find it, put it back in the nest. If not or if it's injured, try to fine a reservation to take it to or someone who knows about rearing birds. And no, mom will not reject it if you touch it. She might be worried for a bit, but your smell will fade and birds are sight oriented and as long as it is in the nest, they will feed it. The warning is because birds might carry parasites and you shouldn't touch a wild animal with bare hands.
Those guys shooting those movies are really inspired people

What a parent would do and sacrifice for their child. I love these kind of documentaries. They engage the viewers to really watch, compared to western documentaries where the narrator just narrates everything you don't focus at all.
Western audience is corrupted from core they've abandoned their culture, ethics and moral codes long ago to understand such smallest things.
here in the west, we watch videos like this one and also cameras placed to watch nests of birds in the wild. Bald Eagles, hummingbird, Albatross, Golden eagle, Storks (they are mean and sometimes kill their own babies), White bellied Sea Eagles, Owls and more. Not all of us don't notice the small things. Sad to hear you think of westerners like that. Check out Lady Hawk channel to see what nests she covers. Oh, also California Condors, we lost some in Fires last summer. We even have people who rehabilitate birds like this. Injured birds, hit by car, too weak from starving, fell out of nest, and nurse them back to health to set them free.
At least I know baby birds are not called "cubs" and that a Kestrel is a meat eating bird
What would you call the subtitles then? It’s a form of narrating. And usually they go away too fast and you have to pause, rewind and read again to catch it all.
Ikr? They say like, The female bird is teaching her cubs to fly, at this time of their age they learn to fly, blah blah boring thing but this video just shows it from our point of view how we talk about the birds.

Thanks for part 1 and part 2 of the estrels series, from baby birdies abandoned by their mommy, to being fostered by a totally new mummy, to taking flight into the wild to start their own little families. Mother Nature at her finest, with a little help from homo sapiens, the way it is intended to work! The world couldn't ask for more... It was totally ahhh inspiring - - indeed! Thanks to the person/people responsible for this nature short and thank you SBS for the post!!!

If you watch the video fully, you find out a cub sadly died in it (I assume tis was the runt). So it's understandable why there's only five.
The chicks were not abandoned but bec men tampered with the nest the parent can no longer recognized its own nest and left. Had they not touched the nest the parent bird will continue caring for its chicks, now we have a parent bird who lost its chicks. Yes, i know, fear of electrocution, and one chick died, but the basket beneath the nest i think totally ruined it for the parent bird-"Nope, not my nest."
@@minyoung823 it worked out in the end so why does it matter? It's either one die or potentially more of them dieing by getting electrocuted.

It must feel soo free that’s why im touched by the lil bird who tried to fly for the first time. The momma did a good job, she foster them, gave them food and also teach them to fly by luring the prey 😍😍 hope they’re all good and can go back to nature, enjoy the sky and live a happy life ❤️

Awww...Everyone involved in taking care of them deserve awards! I’m also glad that most of the chicks grew up into fully-functioning adults. If the fallen sibling had seen what they’ve become, he would’ve been so proud! Someone please protect that forest, as well. We can’t let the tragedy happen again.

Such a beautiful video. I loved it. At first I was nervous for the last one to fly but then it was all good. Lovely story.
