Unpopular opinion i kinda like this animation. I dont think its victimizing william, i see it more like its showing us a part of him that he couldnt bring himself to act upon which is caring for his family. I like to think in canon william does care about his children but doesnt know how to and decided to care about them in a more material form like giving them what they want and giving them freedom to do whatever they want without him objecting to it (unless its dangerous like circus baby EHEM) But it came out as neglicting them instead. William is also afraid of death apparently, i dont know the cause of fear but maybe its because hes afraid of change (maybe after mrs afton died?) And that was the cause of his unreasonable spiral to finding ways to be immortal. Of course he couldnt confide in anyone because theyll think hes crazy (he is though but then again he shouldve been put into therapy much sooner) he spiraled. That became worse when elizabeth and evan died and basically led us to what happened. A part of william loves his family but only knows how to hurt them but i think his kids knows he cares even when that happens. It would make sense why eli would still pursue him, maybe on a good day he could be a semi good father to them and eli wants more of that. Not to mention cc fredbear gotta come from somewhere right? Maybe as a first gift from william before he completely pushed them away. In the end i think williams goal is just to bring his family back together because he regrets letting them go (part of him will never admit that obviously) but also make them immortal like him so they wouldnt have to worry about dying. I dont condemn his actions but i pity him since he couldve had a happy life with his kids if he just asked for help instead of pondering his obsession and fear of death, and is still hoping for that happiness thinking if he succeed in immortality they can be happy.

Honestly, game theory seems to be pretty on track with his ultimate FNAF timeline. Even though it's just theories, it does manage to answer most of the stuff we've need to piece things together, but it isn't the best answer. It's even said in the video as it's not the best answer but the only answer available to think about. They're pretty solid.

It does explain some issues, and there are a few cracks and contradictions. But he did say that in the video, he can't find the right fit and has not found a definitive answer but he has one. Plus he is willing to listen to the comments section if they got better answers. You can dislike it, but you got to respect it since FNAF is very difficult to get answers. Lore-wise if we dismiss that he's nice and stuff, it really makes everything pretty confusing and makes William always a bad person which doesn't explain how he got successful, earned a family, and has the motive to murder when he could've probably done that before FNAF even started. Heck, if he was always a full-blown Psychopath, anyone would see his unstable behavior unless he's SO GOOD at hiding them only a professor with a PHD of psychology can notice. So it does make sense on why they make him nice in the first place. And it makes William more human, anyone would've snapped and gone into madness, seeking for revenge and the sweet release of that boiling blood inside their body, or simply taking their own life out. I'd like to hear some other people's thoughts, since I'm very interested in debating on William's mind, mentality and stuff.

Since Michael figured out that Circus Baby is Elizabeth, she could easy manipulate him because there is one thing going through his mind. Imagine a robot that has the soul of someone who is important to you and wants to be sent free? He didn't knew about what Elizabeth was planning since he finds it vague but the only thing going through his mind is just trying to help her. The only confusing part for is when Michael starts to figure it out and if he didn't, he'd probably quit actually. He had multiple motivations and reasons to continue after figuring out all the messed up stuff what his father did. If he didn't, he has no reason to continue since he ain't getting paid enough and getting in the situation where he is gonna die, he is gonna die and he is gonna die. I don't know how to go further to this and I can't figure it out.
