Akaija goes Aneityum (English)

The Akaija is a symbol, inspired by Wim's deceased friend Linda.
The message is simple enough: We are One.
But with this symbol we are told much more. We have been doing research for 20 years now and the end is not yet in sight.
This video is one of a series about what we discovered while investigating the Akaija.
This symbol connects to some of the world's oldest structures, which lie on a ring around the globe... the Tilted Equator of Antiquity.
The island of Aneityum is part of this ring. It is there where the name 'Akaija' is used as a word for 'All of us'.
Apart from the name 'Akaija', this island is also connected to this ring of antiquity because it is located exactly between the Angkor temples in Cambodia and the Great Pyramid in Egypt.

This video shows our impressions of this special island, which is not accessible to tourists. Only the atoll just off the coast of Aneityum, Mystery Island, can be visited.
Queen Elisabeth was also here when the independence of Vanuatu (to which Aneityum belongs) was to be signed in 1975. The story goes that when the military convoy passed Aneityum on its way to the capital Port Vila on the island of Efate, they ordered the convoy to dock at Mystery Island, which was not then called. She listened with interest to what the evacuated residents of Aneityum all told... their stories were full of mysteries. And we can talk about that, because Aneityum plays a very important role for us. At the end of this visit, the Queen tried to pronounce the name of this island, but was unsuccessful. Finally she made a comment along the lines of "Oh what... it's just mystery island!" So: Mystery Island it is.
The atoll, where ships can dock and planes can land, is now called Mystery Island. The island itself, Aneityum, is the real mystery.
