_Michael's sense of humor is for those who can really pick out the fun in his character. His voice and eyes, his whole gesture and how he commented on his abs lol. I do hate that they killed him off because he was a very good actor, and I think that if he was to run and fight another day, they could have made him come back stronger and in control of his new found powers._

I think he deserved an award for his performance. Shannon's Zod character had a sort of tragic depth. He was evil, but I understood WHY, which gave an incredible dimension and made me feel a bit sorry for him.

This exactly why I prefer DC. Because they actually make you think about how these heroes and villains have repercussions in the real world. The film was a complete package and an epic journey from start to finish. I love the graphic novels used, the properly executed punchlines, and the background of the characters introduced. This movie did a great job showing the sheer power and destructive capabilities of Demi-gods/Superheroes/Heroes/Kryptonians under on Earth. I am insanely in love with this cinematography and combat sequence. Notice how the female characters didn't bash the man's masculinity or invoke any "girl power" nonsense? And still, they came off as a powerful female character in the movie. (WW, Faora, Luis Lane, Mera, HQ and Martha). That's good writing by Goyer, the Nolan brothers, and Zack Snyder. Also brilliant acting by everyone.

Not gonna compare the actors. But story line wise I think Shannon's was better. He had a reason why he was doing the things he did. The save his people. In Superman 2 Zod was just a bad guy for the sake of being bad. And then wanted to kill superman because of what his father did. In MOS Zods story is much better thought out.
