@@JoshuaBlunsh I do LOVE their lyrical songs (let's be honest, binnie & han has their way with words...) but since I love rock so much I didn't expect to catch myself listening to Cover me on repeat without even noticing it, and it's a hyunjin song 👏👏 it's the first time I've connected with hyunjin's words this way.

cover me is so powerful. i’m not joking when i say i almost tear up everytime seungmin’s “so cover me now” hits. and the lyrics are so so beautifully written. hyunjin wrote a real masterpiece!
Cover Me is such a heart wrencher just knowing that Hyunjin wrote it and how much pain there is hidden in the lyrics of it. From the outside he looks like a strong dancer with this crazy stage presence and absolutely gorgeous face but deeper down there's this sweet, kind, and hurt person that needs someone to "give him a hug" and shield him from the light as the lyrics said. This is now my favorite Stray Kids song and I'll stand by that until I die. It just kills me cause I know I've felt this way too and I've hurt in the same ways and felt the pain of feeling alone and just wanting someone to protect me.
'Cover Me and Leave' has quickly become my favorite track on the album, with 'Cover Me' on endless replay since its release. The thought of the emotional rollercoaster Hyunjin must have been on to write such a tearfully moving song is something else. Hyunjin's incredible vision in blending all their vocals together is nothing short of spectacular. The song's vocal strength is so profound that I firmly believe SKZ is cut out for OSTs, with Hyunjin and Chan at the forefront, crafting these deeply touching songs. Every time I listen, I'm moved to tears, literally bawling my eyes out at the sheer emotional depth of the song.
Cover Me puts so much emotion in everyone I think.
The fact that Hyunjin and Chan “fooled” everyone thinking that it was gonna be a ‘Red Light 2.0’.
Binnie breaking the wall with his beautiful vocals l. We know he could sing but this is definitely his best vocal work.

Cover Me is made by Hyunjin and Chan, Chan writing and composing the second verse and Hyunjin the rest. Chan made the instrumental track along with Nickko Young (he's a friend of his and an amazing guitarist). My fav bside in the album ❤

I love Bang Chan's lines in Blindspot and Cover Me. Cover Me feels so deeply emotional to me. I think my favorite songs from the album are Cover Me, Lalalala and Social Path.
While I love the hardness and massive energy of Megaverse and LaLaLaLa, Cover Me has become one of my all-time favorite SKZ songs, EVER.
It's very complex musically, and lyrically / vocally it's incredibly well constructed and arranged. It's a very mature song, too. I think it shows us how far the members have come in their development as singers and interpreters of human emotion-driven stories.
The whole album is just so, so good.

I was wondering & I also heard from another Stay @polyanagula about this: - I am laughing so much that in this lyrics video for comflex they really wrote "don't give a sh*t" XD ..in the actual lyrics there is actually no direct cursing, there is a Korean word, which indeed sounds similar to sh*t and I am happy Chan found a way to finally kind of curse in a song without it being banned (Korean radio and TV don't allow cursing in songs). I am sure it was Chan's goal since he heard "freakin' bad" by Xdinary Heroes LMA.

Cover me, it makes me cry every time I listen to it!, how Seungmin sings the cover part of her me with a feeling of sadness but Chan's sounds more desperate... this song generates so many emotions in me! Hyunjin did great job with Cover Me. He wrote the song and invited Chan to join in writing the second verse. Then they made a demo recording together, and then Hyunjin acted as a producer and divided the parts into 8 people. This is truly a stunningly beautiful song, both in meaning and in lyrics and music.

I love that you enjoyed Comflex it's so good and I found it funny u went back to earlier SKZ...what's funny that came to my mind was back to the survival show and it being said by JYP that a robot might be perfect but it's not appealing and that's because of exactly what this song is saying...'imperfections'...are what makes uniqueness and something more special and precious and 'perfect' because it's unique. All the songs are so good though and it's another album where I can't pick a clear favourite...not a bad problem to have though lol

it's the cleverness of skz working around the sensorship with using 쉿 (translation: hush) since it is pronounced as "shit" aksjdkalj because they know they can't curse so what better way than to be like "look we're not cursing! we're hushing!"
