I was in the audience on that last one and after like three painful seconds of silence this huge Finnish guy goes "mita vitua" which loosely translates to 'wtf'. It was situational but definitely one of the funniest moments of my life.

Likely trying to hold onto the disc and not throw. When you notice something is wrong with your footing your grip the disc tight to not let go, sometimes it slips.

I've thrown it backwards before.
He actually lost his footing and tried to reset the throw.

My hometown course of blue mountain in MSO, MT makes the thumbnail! It was a great griplock to be fair.
Ed: should have shown him finishing the hole. As a guy who has played that course hundreds and hundreds of times, his par recovery was astounding.
I know I saw that it is blue mountain and I’m like is that here wow but love blue mountain is awesome that holes tee pad sucks though I’m always scared of throwing off that

Was playing with first timers, standing behind them to the side of the tee pad and one of them grip locked so bad I could feel the gust of wind from the disc as it flew about a foot or so right overtop of my head. Couple feet lower that hits me square in the face 😨😵

3 months ago, I’m standing about 5M behind the teepad during a local monthly and a Novice player griplocked his drive straight into my sternum. It hurt a ton but without missing a beat, I just started singing 🎶 “Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame” 🎶 The whole card started laughing 😂

None of these are grip locked shots... it's 3 instances of players trying (and failing) to not throw while they slip.
I’ve had the griplock yips for two years now 😔 I threw two shots like this literally BACKWARD and now I can’t correct my shot. I’ve given up the sport altogether someone help lol
field work, just go throw with no score to think about and throw and throw and find something your body likes, and then on the course your body will be like i got this and you can anticipate yourself throwing a good shot
Some sports require you can have fun and suck at the same time. You may learn slow but you will never grip lock again if you just keep at it
Video should be titled, disc golfers slipping or trying to hold onto their disc to restart their run up.

Only the first one was gridlock. 2 and 3 were failed attempts to bail from the shot. For whatever reason they wanted to reset. To little grip to late.

I would say I've played 500+ rounds of golf, and have never thrown that bad!!!! The other guy is right, makes me feel better, if not for just a minute or 2!!!!

I mean I live in Massachusetts and it's slippery everywhere, and I have grip locked on slips plenty of times just trying to hold onto it
