      You mean Cordoba Friederich replica or a real Friederich?
      If it's the first one, is there a huge difference between it in tone quality, projection, resonance, etc... and the c12?
      And is there any difference in feel, playability between this Cordoba Friederich and a real handmade luthier guitar at a similar price tag?I mean even a slight of a difference, like does it feel like a factory guitar every now and then or it always feels like a straightforward luthier guitar?
      Thanks in advance

    • @MorrisFlurry_Guitarist
      @MorrisFlurry_Guitarist Před 4 lety +11

      @@DanielNabyl Hi. Yes, a Cordoba Friederich copy. I'm sure there is a difference if not only in prestige and historical value alone. As for play-ability, tone and projection I can say the Cordoba Friederich isn't lacking. I've never played a Daniel Friederich so I can't compare them but I have played many handmade Luthier guitars and what Cordoba has done for this price point is very impressive. This guitar does not have the feel, tone or resonance of a factory made guitar at all. I wish there had been something like this when I was in college studying music.
      Kind regards,

    • @MorrisFlurry_Guitarist
      @MorrisFlurry_Guitarist Před 3 lety +1

      @@theosis9582 The volume is about the same between the two. The tone of the Friederich is warmer and a bit more expressive than the C12. The C12 is brighter but well balanced. I have mostly played cedar top guitars so I favor the Freidrich over the C12 but I can't say I love one more than the other. For the money they are both fantastic guitars. The only reason they are less expensive than other "luthier" made guitars is because they were made in China. The only thing missing from them is french polish if that is something you prefer.

    The folks at Cordoba need too be commended for their commitment too(largely) the nylon string guitar.It is a much smaller market then the steelstring cousins.They work hard too bring the nylon string too many levels of players and budgets.Price points are connected too the labor cost of a country.The endless bashing of Chinese production and craftsmanship is tiring and unfounded.They have always excelled as artisans.Spend some time on google or your local library and some of the American arrogance of superior craftsmanship will quickly diminish.Countries have different strenghts .Lets hold up the good that people do,instead of filtering everything thru an "us versus them"mentality.I smile when i pick up my American,Irish and ,yes,Chinese guitar.Keep up the good work.

      That was a big mistake. The Alhambra's cannot hold a candle to the high end Cordoba line. I've played both and have owned several classicals ranging from $5k to $10k for comparison. There is no comparison. Kenny Hill's China factory is rock solid, and their attention to detail blows the doors off the Alahambra factories. I have owned 2 Kenny Hill concert models out of his shop in California and several of the mid range Cordobas in both Spain and China for comparison.

    Cordoba is great about making really nice guitars but they have to work a lot on marketing and demonstrations. Just selling good amount of guitars does not mean that you can sell 3 times more than you are currently selling, with some proper demonstrations, marketing and pricing strategy.
    For example we ca never see electric nylon string guitars played in different equipments etc. Most of the so called acoustic amps sounds terrible. Guitar jack to the amp, amp to the external good sound card and computer managing all the sounds usually sounds much better, especially video etc. sound recording. Even Guitar jack straight into a very good external sound card and a computer (with good monitors/Speakers) probably sound much better than most of the amps. However. Cordoba never actually properly shows as all these different options to get a sound from the Cordoba guitar. Acoustic demonstrations are quite good but % 99 of them too short.
    Cordoba could sell may more guitar than they are currently selling.
    More yıou sell, cheaper it gets to produces per unit of the guitar. Cheaper it gets to build a guitar (Without sacrificing any kind of building quality! Material etc. also gets cheaper more you build, so the quality increases even more), easier it gets for consumer to buy it and there you go, you become the number one guitar selling brand in the world that sales massive amount and dominates whole market.
    However, Guitar market is so empty, complicated and unbalanced, non of the brands actually pushes hard enough to get to the top of that market. Electric guitars dominated by Gipson. If you even ask any person that has no whatsoever interest in the guitars or music, probably would say "Gibson" is the electric guitar brand they know. Even Gibson actually not pushing hard enough to become the coca brand, marlboro etc. of the guitar market.
    Corcoba should find a way to sell C5-CE under $200 USD (Without sacrificing wood, build, material etc. quality at all) all over the world so everybody from beginner to pro player or somebody not even thinking about playing guitar will buy it no matter what. In the USA and EU around $450 USD for this guitar is not too bad! However, resty of the world US Dollar and Euro currency keep increasing daily. One day $100 Worth 120 İn your currency and next week it becomes 700 in your currency! So the guitar (Or anything) you buy, goes 7 times more than it is within a week! (Beside USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Saudi and United Arabs, USA dollar worth average 4 to 10 times more than local currency in whole rest of the planet! So, any person in those countries buying products average 5 times more expensive than the person in those listed countries)
    Yamaha and Honda for example, have great simple strategy about that. They sell their motorcycles cheaper than they sell in USA and EU and/or simply build a factory (Those produces entrance or mid class vehicles, manufacture high end expensive products in the USA, EU etc.) in those countries so manufacturing (labor) cost way cheaper, so the products cost cheaper to buy. They ship these bikes into USA and EU, which makes mid or lower end products even more affordable in the USA, EU, Canada etc.
    However, may brands thinks that they are too smart and trying to do this strategy with building products in the India and China, which completely ruins all of the products and also the brand name, reliability etc. Also, shipping products into the EU, USA, Canada etc. becomes expensive and time to ship it becomes too long! Additionally, these countries do not give a shit about brand rights, copyright etc. As soon as they start manufacturing a products for a brand, they imidiatly make hundreds of fake versions of it and completely ruin the market, as well as ruining the brand names! No person would like to see "Made in China or India" label on a guitar.
    However, there are alternative countries like Ukraine, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania etc. Those very close to EU, have proper international copy, right, branding etc. rules, laws and regulations, labour is way cheaper than EU, USA, Canada etc. but manufacturing quality is 10 times better than China, India etc. Indeed, Ukraine and Turkey is great about producing all kind of goods in very good quality with very reasonable prices, while Ukraine has great and cheap wood products quality and Turkey have great manufacturing, designing, producing capacity at anything from textile to most advanced defense systems and so on.
    Corcoba will also make very high end classic, flamenco etc. special guitar (thos have "made in Spain" label on them), which will get up to prices like $5000 USD or more, which will bring the actual profit.

    • @brin57
      @brin57 Před 2 lety

      They need to reduce their price to a level appropriate to the quality of the guitars. They are over-priced. You can do better for the money.
