George was talking about the virus HIV. Peace!
Doesn't change it's applicability.
He said ...."this First virus"!!!
@@ItApproachesYes it does. Rona isn’t a virus that is transmitted through reproduction and it doesn’t destroy our immune system and lead to AIDS.
Rona is a joke compared to HIV.
(But I see what you are trying to say)
And Covid-19.
@@user-hr5pc3rt2nCovid was lab created. It’s not natural.
Being 52 its nice to see the young guns catching up.
Carlin is 100% on every issue. The human arrogance is through the roof.
Great reaction
Imagine what George would say about stuff today. Gawd do I wish we had his voice now. 😊
He would call it out for the bullshit it is.
i think one of the things he would bring up is that jails and prisons is called correctional facilities now hahaha.i can just hear George say. ohh i was so wrong and they corrected me, and look at this facility🧱🧱😄 sounds like a great place to go now.👮♀👮♂
everything he said back in 92 is as relevant as ever today
I am a conservative and I agree a lot with what George Carlin says!
He only died a couple yrs ago when all this was happening. What he'd say about our presidential candidates is something I would have liked to see.
This should be played in every college class every day. Maybe then the students will open their eyes.
I was at this HBO special in NYC 1992. He was referring to HIV/AIDS
He was a genius. I still miss him dearly 😢
After all these years he is still spot on!
George was a Poet and a Prophet. We need him now.
This was uploaded to *CZcams* in *2007* but this is *George Carlin* from *1992*
Watching all George Carlin videos is more valuable than a college degree
Your enthusiasm to learn, check out music, comedy, etc., your smile, and laughs are contagious. Keep going! : )
This was 1992 i believe. The sexual transferd virus he was talking about was human immunodeficiency virus (HIV/AIDS) However, great reaction dude. Keep it up.
I would agree if he hadn't said "this First virus"! Yes, he was referring to HIV/aids but that was just 1st the virus !
@@Sunny-jz3dy People from 14th century Europe say what?
He's right... It's not the planet that we're putting in danger, it's us. The planet will be here long long long after we're gone like it's always been. We've got the terminology all wrong. When we destroy our environment we're only destroying ourselves, *not* the planet. What arrogance to act like we're somehow saving the planet. We are but a millisecond in the life of planet earth
And it takes the genius of George Carlin to point that out. 👍👍
It's mass hubris, thinking we are way more important than we actually are.
George was not a comedian, he was a philosopher that told jokes, he was the best at it, miss you George.
Liked and subscribed. Nice job. He was so far ahead of his time even when he started in the 60’s. Love and respect.
Ok Silas, listen carefully. You Must check out his bit called MODERN MAN if you want to be impressed! I challenge you to be able to repeat just half of his routine without forgetting a word. George was a master of the English language and took pride in using it effectively.
He’s was always on point, loved all his comedy
Carlin on Pro Life is thought evoking...he was a brilliant word genius..strung words together like no one else,,wonder what he would say today
That's why I used to Best comedian of all time because he makes you think . By the way I love your reactions you have to do more George Carlin try airport security keep up the great work😂
George recorded this in April 1992 the show was called Jammin' in New York
Turtles are just casually walking around in the understory. Waiting for our self destruction to be complete.
Silas- your great grandpa was in that first wave of people making plastics!
Greatest philosophical comedian EVER !!!!
He was talking about Hiv/aids, it took out a lot of people like in the late 70's & 80's before they discovered a good medicine to help people with it live longer.
George Carlin - The Trillion Daves is one of my favorite bits by him.
I was lucky enough to see George perform this live. He was talking about AIDS.
Yes as being the 1st virus! Of virus's to come!
@@Sunny-jz3dythe first virus? Lol. That’s hilarious
GC brilliant and he is right the planet don't need saving we do
Every young person should watch George 😂❤
I like when my boy be like "and yeah guys"
I think its hilarious that a lot of people who have reacted to this always look up when this originally aired when Carlin started talking about viruses.
Great to see younger folks like you discover this treasure of humanity that is Georges Carlin.
The show dates from 1992, and he was talking about VIH or AIDS, which at the time was THE big virus of the decade. But for sure, it could totally apply to COVID these days.
He wasn't ahead of his time, he was totally of his times. It's the time that haven't changed since the 90's (if anything, it got worse).
Interestingly, there was a time when nature could not break down wood. Fallen trees remained for centuries before eventually an organism(s) was created by nature that feeds on and breaks down wood. I recently read that scientists have already found an organism that has adapted to feed on plastic.
I love his shows
Hope you're having a good one. There is a record player that you can hook up to your pc that records the audio if you wanted to spend up to $40
Hey Silas, if you havent seen the 1997 movie Dogma, check it out! George Carlin has a small role in it and the movie has a host of great actors in their youth; Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Alan Rickman, Salma Hayek among others. If you die of laughter don't blame me ; )
This was filmed in the early nineties ❤
Humankind's biggest problem is we refuse to admit we don't know what we don't know and act out of ignorance.
George was decades above the truth!!!
Great choice, Silas! You've GOTTA check out his bit "Balance the Budget". Thanks, man!
Watch more George
George was the Professor of comedy they said. To me he was the OG of them all. RIP George. We miss you ❤
You have great taste Silas! Great channel!! Keep doing your thing kid
WAY WAYYYYYYYY AHEAD OF HIS AND THE TIMES! 😊
Carlin on Campus was released in 1984, he was ahead of his time.
#GEORGECARLIN #HOMEFREE #VOICEPLAY #BASSGANG
Now you realize George was a man ahead of his time!! He's a legion!
our existence is a flighting experience.
You should be using a phono input on turntable unless it’s Bluetooth. Regular inputs don’t match impedance and RIAA frequency curve
Geaorge Carlin should be a part of college curriculum.
dude been watching and listening to him for 30 years. he knows. oh he knows.
Check out Fussy Eater from George since Thanksgiving is coming up, it’s hysterical 😂
Genuis, pure Genius...a snowflakes worst nightmare! 😂 Rip George!
33 now first heard George when I was 13. Even today my thinking is heavily influenced by Carlin's perspectives. I might not be as pessimistic these days, but no doubt he broadened my horizon for how to think about the human race and spoke alot of raw truths that are more relevant even today
One of Carlin's best. Such a visionary.
Glad to be with you. This was shortly after aids was the new problem. The man was a genius and way ahead of his time. I agree with others now that I see the comments that we need his wisdom more now than ever
That's hubris talking. We're still not a threat to the earth, we're a threat to ourselves.
You need to watch George Carlin’s “The Death Penalty”, it’s hilarious and educational.
You should check out his "Abortion And The Sanctity Of Life" but make sure it's entire 15 minute plus one not the abbreviated 10 minute one. Very smart, hilarious and probably my favorite bit of his. I'm gonna subscribe now.
Peace ❤
Love to see your openness to the facts within comedy another video that would be good if you haven't seen is the *(history of the world I guess)*
Love watching young kids who watch this and don't understand how the hiv/aids virus effected the world like covid. Not nearly as deadly but people actually listened to doctors and took precautions. Yes I know it wasn't spread the same way but condom sales etc went through the roof! One love we be well and great react.
Not many know “Dr. Fauci” was involved in the AIDS pandemic, especially with “attempting” to give vaccines to everyone.
George passed away long before COVID. If only we would have had him around we might have had more common sense
His bit 'On Time' si equally as compelling as this one, dude was a legend.
He was referencing the AIDS epidemic btw.
And I believe this was recorded in 97
George Carlin stuff with poplar back in the 1985
♥ But, where are we after??? :) Love the reaction!! ♥ also.... When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36 ♥ Psalm 18:6
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Early 90s, and he was talking about HIV/AIDS, which was a big deal at the time
Great Reaction, You listened & Thought about the reality of it all...
I'm with Mr, Carlin on this..
He was a genius in so many ways
R.I.P. To A Very Smart & Funny Man !
Firstly, Yes I like a clean planet like most.
But Seriously, All these people complaining about the fuels, etc in the air from car's etc...
Everyone claiming that's what's been causing the extreme weather & temps over the last 5 yrs or longer..
Here's a couple thing's to think about in regards to this..
Firstly I think the planet is now going through a Full Evolution
And we as the human race are getting to see the full affect of it...
Example Everyone is saying it's all the Emissions in the air now
Are causing the extreme heat & cold temps..
What A Joke That Is...
Example : Just watch the tv newscast weather reports...
They usually start off with the current day's Temp,
Then they show Last Year's Temp On This Date,
Then The Record Temps For Heat & Cold on the specific date..
Around 85 % Of The Time
Those Record Temps Were In The Late 1800's or Early 1900's...
Hmm... Don't Recall A Whole Bunch Of Car's On The Roads Back Then,
Don't Recall A Whole Bunch Of Factories Pushing out A Ton Of Emissions
And Don't recall A Whole Lot Of Airplanes In The Skies Either...
I'm An Older Person & We Were Actually taught About The Planet & Evolution In School..
Can't Quite Figure Out Why, All The So Called Experts Aren't Telling Us The Truth..
Though Everything Is All About The Almighty Dollar In Today's World
All This Recycled Bull, Plastic Bag's Etc...
We Pay Triple The Price Now & 90% Of It Doesn't Last Worth A Crap..
Hmm...
People, Pickup Your Garbage So The Planet Looks Good..
But, Really...
A Plastic Straw Is Going To Hurt The Planet?
The Planet Is Fine & Cleansing Itself Now..
Us Human's Are A Total Mess...
And Stop Throwing Your Garbage On The Ground & In The Ocean's...
Sorry For The Short Novel...
Cheers
It's always nice to see young people start to "get it"....
That's funny. I just watched a youtube video last night of a scientist that says the universe is run on electricity. The big Electron. George was ahead of his time.
Any link? It sounds like a fascinating video.
He was talking about AIDS- HIV- the Human Immunodeficiency Virus
Silas, enjoy your youth. The earth's human population was half what is today when I was your age (I'm 67). That is more than 4 billion more poor and displaced people. I don't care to imagine the world with more than double that figure, in your life time. Good luck, and I mean it!
:) Really enjoyed this reaction! Happy that you liked ti as well.
lmao, Carlin's been dead for a number of years now - good bit before COVID was a thing. Kinda obvious what he was talking about at the end and was mighty clear at the time of the show.
Looking forward to more Carlin! :)
This is scarily realistic if I'm being honest
"He was really ahead of his time".
Was he? Or was he OF his time...and we just haven't fixed anything.... just a thought.
Actually, he was referring to the AIDS virus the auto immune deficiency virus
A curve ball my friend... You're looking at 'different' bands. Have you tried Spock's Beard? They woke me up after my Genesis, Floyd, Supertramp, ELO obsession... 'Snow' (try it live), 'The Light', 'Kindness of Strangers', they're magic and cover all genres. I'd suggest a listen to the first two. Cover them and you'll make a lot of friends.
Don't say it that "V" word. HA ha...great video buddy. Love GC.
THIS IS 30 AGO SILAS, OFF OF HIS GREAT (HBO ) SPECIAL : JAMMIN IN NEW YORK 😊, IT WAS JUST AFTER THE ( DESERT STORM ) WAR, ENJOYYY SILAS! 😊
George was talking about HIV, but Rona is something he might have talked about if this was done in 2020.
Also, he predicted alot of things that have happened and are happening now.
He was talking about Aids and HIV
Hey all do you think Silas would enjoy reacting to Billy Joel's "The Stranger " album
Wanna save the animals, it's easy leave them the hell alone.
Did George wake you up from your college depression? Love your reaction btw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear you got fleas Silas! 🤨
I guess it shouldn't surprise me.... that many skip over exactly what George said! Which was ....."maybe this 1st Virus"....and then he proceeds! He was extremely intelligent.... very observant and we listened.... but didn't listen.... if that makes any sense to you.
If humans have been around for 100,000 years, then that's 0.0022% of the Earth's life. We've been industrial for 0.0000077% of the planet's life.
It's only depressing if we don't plan on doing things to keep the Earth habitable for humans.
Way before COVID
Check out George Carlin's ai special.
Congrats, you took the red pill and now have the ability to see right through the matrix.
I can tell by your reaction you and I share the same views.
Yes, he was talking about HIV/Aids
Try his take on the Death Penalty or Prisons, absolutely funny but as usual George very telling about society.
If everyone in the world woke up one morning and they were all the same race ,creed and religion, by noon they would have already found reasons to hate each other. The older I get the less impressed I am by stupid "humanity"...in the big picture and in most ways, we truly suck. Not much will be lost after humans are gone
19.9
Perhaps, when talk about sexual virus mean about SIDA
OOPS! 30 YEARS
Actually Covid has been around since the 80's lol. Most people don't realize that.
I hate to admit to say It, but the Earth will take care of itself and take care of us!
1992
He’s talking about Aids. Not the man made viruses. Well, who knows if Aids wasn’t created in a lab too? 🤷♂️
I highly doubt humans will still exist in 200 years with the way things are going.
