*Hill Climb!* Stagecoach Cumbria North Lancs ADL Enviro 400 MMC E40D 11575 YX23 OPC Route 555

This bus was working Route 555 between Keswick and Lancaster via Windermere and Kendal. Fairly decent hill climbers these despite being your standard, gutless newer E400.

I remember going on one of these last summer, it was quick off the line for an MMC and very smooth as well. It also seems that the interior noise issues have been fixed, as the creaking was really bad when I rode it at that time. I'm annoyed that ADL have standardised on Voith given how over-restricted they are out of the factory - it should be up to the driver to save fuel through driving techniques rather than have the computers control everything - short-shifting doesn't always guarantee lower fuel consumption!

A lot of drivers don’t know how to do the tricks to be honest but you do have a point.
