The Aba women's riot/war was the first of it's kind in Africa. For the first time indigenous people realized that they could make a change, drive and control their narrative. It was a wake up call for the native people and has been cited as having a great impact in the Independence of the countries in Africa from the British Colonization. It doesn't get any of the credit it deserves.
