- Join SAVAGE Combatives in Central Utah as we review the CORE 12 person Instant Cabin Tent. This tent was very simple to set up and take down. It stores quite nicely, however it is quite heavy. The bag does have wheels on it so if the terrain is not too terrible, you can wheel it to the site where you want to set it up. We experienced quite a bit of inclement weather on the first night which caused the tent to collapse in on itself while the 5 children and the wife were inside. This proved to be a quite terrifying experience for them. We set the tent back up the next day and although we had a bent pole, the tent maintained its structural integrity for the remainder of the trip. As always, Stay SAVAGE!!!
That's the best parts of camping. The kids now will know what to expect and be prepared for when they go camping when they are older. Camping is usually never rainbows and butterflies. Thanks for sharing.

Reminded me of my parents putting up a tent in a driving rain at night after 8 hour drive. They were soaked to the bones and the tent refused to cooperate :) we spent the night in our small WV.
This is exactly what happens when you don't use the guy ropes, and extend poles correctly. Rookie error.
Also save yourself some effort and put up the middle first. (aka watch the manufacturer video if you're unsure.
Your supposed to build all the roof bars before extending the legs

Love this brand of Insta tent . We also have the 12 person for my husband , Chihuahua, and myself . Used it in rain , snow and high winds with no problems. But then again , my husband says that nothing would move our tent with all my suitcases, lol . We also ave the Coleman Canopy 13×13 with lights already attached. We love to camp but I'm handicapped and can't help him so these are perfect for us .
How did you enjoy this tent in the different weather? I just purchased the 12 person tent for my daughter and myself. We would first be using it next month in December.
You said the tent collapsed. We had a tent collapse in very heavy weather. The kids all remember it as the best trip we ever had.

Wow! Didn’t know you guys had so much trouble with your tent. Ours worked pretty good in the wind, thank God we didn’t have any rain.
Yeah...it was wind, rain, hail....etc.
Should have used those high speed handcuffs to secure it.

I have a 6 person Core tent. The wind was blowing inside with the bottom vents closed and the cover over the top.
What can I do to stop wind from coming inside???
I had the same tent I found there was too much flooring material I also found the center poles seamed to be short can you tell me if yours is the same.
I didn't experience too much flooring material or short center poles. We will be doing an updated video soon.
So have you used it since? Been in wind and/or rain again? Did CORE customer service seem good to work with? How many times have you set up and taken down this tent since this initial time? Seem to be holding up OK?
We have taken it out a few more times. There were some other issues that arose. We are reaching out to Core Customer Service before doing an update video. They left a comment on this video but have since removed it for some reason.
Does duck tape helps on the joints ?
Had you staked in the guy lines (into the ground) before this collapsed from the wind?

You did it wrong. You supposed to put up the entire gray area first and then do the green bit
now do it in a windy day

They are, Feds are required to carry them when they carry their firearms.

Big mistake made in video which prevented viewers from learning. You did not show the staking down of the tent. You did not mention how high the wind speeds were. No way now to save others from making the same mistakes. Video gets a thumbs down.
