Kemenche in Turkey and in Greece have some differences in sound, body and so on; but this kemenche in Greece is something like a violin, is not it? Thanks.

This is a kemence that sounds more like a violin and they are drinking Rakki. That is cool an all but one thing that makes me sad is that some greeks will say that the kemence and Rakki is purely greek which is not. not Lions milk like said. lol.
I love being a Karadenizli. :) nice video

kutelalameyn: what would you know what a kemence is anyway? afterall, the instrument was introduced to the turks when they reached pontos.. just because the kemence is depicted differently to turks doesnt make the pontic kemence not so.

Turkish and Anatolian Greeks are the same people... European Greeks and Albanians are the same peolpe...
Europeans and Anatolians are different people, but the Orthodox Europeans and Orthodox Anatolians consider themselves the same because of religion (wrong).
Greek is not an identity, just a name, and their language is a mix of everything in antiquity, RE-adopted today to claim the history of some 1000s of years past.
