My family has lived on the border in New Mexico for over a hundred years and we have seen the progression of crime from across the border. We all hope that our representatives will protect us, especially our President. It is so disappointing that they have an agenda that doesn't include protecting U.S. citizens. People need to contact their representatives and senators and keep doing it until they listen. Politicians who want to outlaw guns should be the target of calls. They will not protect us but they want us defenseless. I for one am tired of them.

This has been an ongoing issue for years . I , like many today was oblivious to it until I had one of those accidental encounters with an agent in the early eighties.I was in Arizona helping a friend start an outdoor tourist oriented business in the Apache junction area . On one of my few days off I went into Mesa for a meal , because the restaurant was crowed I offed the extra seat to a strangely uniformed (to me ) older gentleman , again to my 20 self , turns out he was boarder patrol . I was from a small mountain town here in Co , I knew vaguely of the organization, now I got a crash course on its history , and at that time current issues . Turns out smuggling while not on todays scale was an , along with illegal weapons comming north, a problem .I new even then what RPD and AK ment , he told me about how they had caught some of those very weapons along with drugs on the US side headed north . This meeting opened my eyes to the much wider world , since then I have tried in my small way to keep up with what has become a disaster to boarder towns and cites far from the boarder . The local sheriff’s department has been involved in raids on drug houses. ICE has been raiding farms after illegal’s , the impact of Denver’s asinine “sanctuary city “ status has bled throughout the state , damaging local economies, violent crime is on a upward surge , and as long as the citizens bury their head in the sands , and do not push back against stupid and lazy state local and federal leaders this will continue to spiral out of control, at least in my humble opinion

Actually, most of the people who specialize in border security agree that a wall is all that’s needed to greatly reduce the number of immigrants illegally entering the country. True, a wall is not going to stop people from getting over it. However, what it does do is allow for the Border Patrol time to get to the problem before it gets out of hand.
It’s sad that just about every other country in the world has the ability to secure their borders, but the United States.

Los Zetas was originally founded by approximately 30 soldiers from Mexico’s elite military unit Grupo Aeromóvil de Fuerzas Especiales (GAFE) to provide protection for the Gulf Cartel. Of these 30 original soldiers, a few had training from the United States and Israeli militaries. However, the vast majority by far were trained by Mexico’s very own military.
Today, Los Zetas is nothing more than a shadow of its former self, having been greatly diminished battling with other cartels and the Mexican military. The few members that are left are nothing more than untrained street thugs.

Thank you 🙏🏿 for your service to our nation and the innocent. I was in Clandestine Services from 1970 for about 7 years till I came back to the US starting in Cabinda Gulf Angola, Colombia etc., due to my fluency in Spanish and Portuguese. The biggest threat apart from Fentanyl which unfortunately is a self imposed curse Americans do to themselves to anesthetize the pains of their more fortunate reality. The real curse is the trafficking of children and sexual exploitation of women. In two years I’ve had four women completely disappear off the face of the earth from Tijuana. The first was a 30 year old black US Citizen from El Cajon that had a child from a Cartel street dealer and lived too close to the edge. Thought to be murdered. The second was a 21 year old French Canadian student from Montreal that was getting her kicks in TJ and thought it was fun. Gone no trace. I’ve had an investigator in the Justice Department look and they think she’s dead. The last time someone saw her she was going in accompanied into a hotel near the arch known for sequestering young foreign girls. The next was a lady about 35 hiding from an abusive man in San Diego she’s Mexican with a green card. Disappeared. Thought to be dead. The last was a beautiful Mexican woman from Acapulco Guerrero whose family owned a gold mine. Her husband was murdered by a Cartel so she was hiding in a residence hotel where I stayed. One night she disappeared off the streets presumed dead. Then a Mexican National a fellow musician and his son are now hiding in the US legally as the cartel took away his house in Rosarito just because they could. He’s staying out of Mexico so he doesn’t have to sign over the house but his life is in danger. This is two years. Four people I cared for presumed dead murdered trafficked or disposed of?

Ya its horrible.. I spent my first few decades of life in usa and the latest couple decades here on the south side of the border... I never knew how great I had it , how fortunate I was to be born American and just how bad it is for our neighbors, depending on the perspective things are so wild here.. as an American when I libed there I remember I used to complain and ask why things are so difficult for me, why this , why that, boo hoo, boo hoo..
It took me to be here a good chunk of years and basically integrated into life here and understand what I truly had all my life and did not take advantage of , was more focused on my perceived difficulty which in all reality was my lack of knowledge of life outside of USA, why so many Mexicans came to USA, just to work a job most white people didn't want to work anyway..
Now I know very well why so many want to get the f out of here..
I say to my friends sometimes "if I was born in Mexico, I'd get thehell outta here as fast as I could as well..
It's literally hell here, rule of law does not exist, the only "law" is the cartel, they are the law, the judge, jury, executioner and any amd everyone else...Wild, wild, shit here... One thing you don't want to do is ANYTHING that puts you on their radar....
If you start making a bit of money, or influence your on their radar.. but def if you break a rule or law they set, good luck... Such a beautiful country, so sad to see how the government just sucks the money and life outta the people and country and do absolutely nothing to help society, just take take take and use the people.. NOBODY IS SAFE HERE!! NOWHERE IS SAFE!! ITS WILD FOR REAL!!
      BE SAFE EVERYONE

Daily I see these tiny Mexican women at red lights always with a small child bundled up in a blanket tied to their backs which is always sleeping (which I find odd) selling chocolate bars out of a tiny hand held basket that is nicely organized. I've seen them at four or five main streets when you exit the highways leading to and from Chicago. I'm convinced that is how they're paying off the cartels for getting them here. Its say too organized and the fact they ALL ALWAYS have a small child on their back is no coincidence.
