unpopular opinion: okc woulda killed lakers as well, such a great team, so underrated
Killed as in beaten Lakers in 1st round series? I agree. But it would have been something like 4-2. The Thunder struggled against the Lakers in the regular season, heck they stole a game from Denver to avoid the sweep, they would have made life tough for OKC. I actually think they're pretty happy to "only" be up against the Clippers or Mavs in the next round.
@@sabbathguy1 4-2 woulda been calm, but everyone swears Lakers woulda ran through anyone else besides Denver like cmon. They weren't good all year just accept it
@@BaseballStarAaron Totally agree. Lakers were in the play-in I mean that says it all really. But as an OKC fan, Lakers were our "boogie man" team all year and always seemed to play great against us for whatever reason. I still think we win a series against the Lakers, but again, it would have been tough.
I think the thunder are definitely the better overall team but the lakers match up perfectly with them so it definitely woulda been close

Okc are also 3-1 against Denver, including a blowout victory in Denver. I don’t think they go to the finals, but I think they’re a hard matchup for anyone that steps on the court with them. The only thing stopping them is if they’re not hitting their open looks. They have some streakiness sometimes and just can’t get their shots to fall, but they nearly always generate good looks with their patience and elite ball movement
