This happened to a mom with a stroller in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The wheelchair ramp wouldn't close at all and she with her kids had to take the next bus. I witnessed it.
Wheelchair ramp: (stuck) The bus: (gets anxious) The bus: (powers of and back on) The Ramp: (finally moves) The bus: (sigh of relief) The ramp: (still stops) The bus: (powers off and on again) The Ramp: (still has issues) The bus: (turns off and on again) The ramp: (finally closes) The ramp: (reopens) The bus: (still wonders if the ramp is broken) The ramp: (still not giving a f**k about itself) The bus: OOH YA B*****D!!!
It's not going to the floor because your in a depot there is no kerb if you was at the roadside at a proper bus stop the ramp would of been kerb height
I think the reason why the ramps get like that is because they let the wrong wheel chairs on as i me the ones like the persons own travels motion travels who have there own button not suppose use busses there to heavy 😮😢
That was in Dartford garage why didn’t a fitter come over to help. I drive that bus regularly it’s always doing that. Also you need to be next to kerb it’s not designed to go flat on the ground like they were trying to do.
Manual ramps never break but of course it’s quicker with auto but to me I would rather manual ramps because it’s easier and saves it from breaking. Im surprised it took 7 minutes to fix it
This happened on one of the Dennis Darts on the 130 in 2017, but the ramp was deployed and wouldn’t go back in, so the bus was taken out of service.
Who
I love how the driver rev's like its gonna do something with an electric wheelchair ramp
The ramp is operated by air hence the leaking hissing noise so the driver has to rev the engine to build up pressure in order for it too work
your a fool💀
Who will pull the wheel chair ramp out???

Looked like he could stand a bit, but as others have said manual ramps are better. Even buses in Sydney Australia that have these have been removed.

That’s George on buses innit
Just happened on a 308 bus in London, ramp is fully deployed and won't go back in :/ we've all been told to get off
Did he do a reset ,switch everything off using the master switch on his panel or under his seat ,who type trained the driver
It can happen anywhere but if the drivers and person take it at ease then be easy with it

Whe extended, won't the weight of the wchair force the extension to pavement level, allowing safe exit ¿

I was on one of the DWs on the 269 and the ramp did the same thing, the bus had to be taken out of service because the driver couldnt fix it

You should try to turn off the main power supply button. It often helps.

LocalBusAndTrainEnthusiast And Gaming 😂😂😂😂
isn't there a manual way to bring the ramp out if there was an emergency
Yes, there's a tool by the fire extinguisher
You use it next to the flap, there's a hole for it to go in and just manually extend/retract the ramp
