I dont know how hard a rule this is or if it was only in reference to one or two videos they did but I think they said they tend to write for each other rather than for themselves.

@@koolaid33 I would assume it does, discs are pretty durable and that one just looked a little dirty, not scratched. But they probably used a game they don't care about anyway. I saw their livestreams where they competed for the title of worst gaming library, they have a ton of games I'm pretty sure will never see the light of day in any other way 😂
Yeah, but I still am getting rather scared at the disappearance of physical games. I'm not keen on developers yanking away the ability to play certain versions of a game if they so desire. I don't play GTA, but Rockstar flubbing the Definitive Edition release and then pulling the better performing version off of all online stores so that nobody can play that version is such an example of why I'm concerned about games being digital only. I'll take the risk of fingerprints and scratches on disks over that.

The pregnant Alma statue is so disturbing, it’s made both the original and comments edition twice
The huddle thing has me torn between two mindsets. One saying that it is a weird and gross and the other thinking it would be hilarious to use as the boss fight for a drunken d+d game.
I love how most people immediately associate the Huddle with a katamari. One of my favourite livestreams of INSIDE had the streamer singing 'na na na na NA NA NA NA NA NA NA' in a horrified manner at the meat orb steamrolling people in the compound
That moment was a MASTERPIECE.
Andy said the company Real Doll right as it showed an orifice at the bottom of the Katamari of Flesh and I got EXTREMELY concerned.

(speaking of, side note but when the algorithm set my at-work music playlist for me and sandwiched "Funiculi, Funicula" in between "The Tale of Cu Chulainn" and "Mojave Song" from Miracle of Sound, I busted out laughing when I heard it. Like I said, Al Gorithm is Chaotic Neutral.)

True story: I once had to comfort a 6 year old who had seen his father's Dead Island dismembered bikini torso statue and had all kinds of questions and probably issues. That kid's hit puberty by now

Before I started the video I though you were being a bit weird, but you actually have a point. Could just be the lighting, but maybe that colour really does makes him look younger and... brighter?? Maybe the colour/skin match people have a point 😂

I was there during the high-definition optical disk format wars, we stuck to the optic drive bay trenches as CDs whizzed above us, sticking our head out always running the risk of decapitation by disc. The VHD battalion never stood a chance, DVHS came too late and their tech too obsolete. Blu-Ray blasted our positions with laser blasts from their squadrons of PS3 fighters, and the retaliation by the HD-DVD with their fleets of HD-DVD players naval support didn't help. Our Floppy Disk vests too low capacity to stop even a glancing blow, and our magnetic tape comms cut to ribbons in the wake of both sides' blue laser onslaught.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe! HD-DVDs on fire off the shoulder of Sony! I watched Blu-Rays glitter in the dark near the Microsoft gate! All these formats will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
What I've understood from this is that you should be very cautious when buying horror collectors' edition
Protip: Don't buy horror game collector's editions.

I will bet every cash dollar I have the the absolutely baffling Dead Island dismembered boob torso is on the list. It's one thing to send out something deeply unpleasant and questionable, quite another to send the sort of thing that would get you arrested in some places.

Although I could/can rarely afford them, I love a collector's edition with a decorative component! It feels nice to be able to look around you and see a solid chunk of something that made you so happy. Even The Huddle must make someone happier just by being around.

I knew that Dead Island disembodied statue would be here, I remember that being so bizarre, and that a dude having that on his shelf would probably set off red flags in a woman's head. Nothing like having something that looks like a memento a serial killer would have.

The BEST Collector's edition extra that I ever got was Cole Macgrath's sling bag from Infamous 2. I worked at Gamestop when the price of the Collector's edition dropped dramatically, so I bought it. And my wife has been using it ever since. It actually isn't cheaply made and doesn't suck.

I'm not sure the zombrex pen is all that disturbing. I own multiple pens shaped like syringes - one I got from a medical school, one from work (I work for a medical device company - we make syringes). (Granted I also got one from the med school that is shaped like a femur, which I used until it ran out of ink, so I might just really like novelty pens?)
Moral of the story if you get the collectors edition of a horror game it will come with a monstrosity you question putting on your shelf.

Yeah, the Dead Island 2 and FEAR 3 statues got a LOT of pushback on the internet, as I recall. I think the FEAR 3 statue in particular got so much shit because Alma was in fact a minor?
So, she *died* a minor, but her ghost continued to age. Make of that what you will, I don't think any part makes it better.

Sad that the japanese collectors edition of the Made in Abyss game is not on the list. Giving you a flask with a picture of Prushka and the words "Don´t spill me" on it is the most disturbing joke I have seen in my life.

I never heard of this title before, and just spent _way_ more time than I'd like to admit on the wiki, trying to figure out what's that unusual/disturbing in that hipflask:) I'm still not 100% certain on details, but heck- the whole setting goes into some dark places, doesn't it?

@@sebastianwlodarczykit’s one of my favourite examples of world building and dissonant tone I’ve ever come across and I’m so mad I can never recommend it to anyone because the guy who made it clearly had a loli fetish and several other kinks that are wildly uncomfortable because the main characters are children.
I worked at GameStop when Death Stranding first came out. We got permission to open the collectors edition to display. Obviously I carried BB around half my shift, using the prop to upsell the game 😂

On kids these days not knowing about physical games, when I was younger, I legitimately thought that computer gaming wasn't a thing until the internet was strong enough to deliver them until I read Homestuck, which opens with the protagonist waiting for the CDROM of a new computer game to be delivered. Even though when I was preschool aged I did play educational CDROMs.

Nope of these collectors edition figurines will EVER be on my shelves. Too freakin' creepy. I do have some zombie transformers of Transformers Prime Terrorcon Cliffjumper and Transformers Prime Deadend.
I would add the Space Marine 2 Collector's Edition statue, due out soon. It's a space marine preparing to eviscerate a tyranid, while waist deep in a pool of blood. I would say that's just as gruesome as the Calisto Protocol's Two-Head, but really it's just on brand for Warhammer.

The only collector's edition I ever got was Kingdom Hearts 3 Deluxe Edition, which came with a steelbook, art book, and collectible pin, and a special edition of Project X Zone, which came with a soundtrack CD and an artbook

I was super pumped about Alone in the Dark and was thinking about getting the collectors edition. Well I'm not pumped enough to give myself any more nightmares than I already have. So I'll just buy the basic edition
5:24 in fairness, knowing Dead Island, "hand-painted" does not necessarily denote that the hand is attached to an arm. perhaps they use the stump to gently stipple blood onto the torsos?
Those fingerprints on that disk though. Gives me the chills.
