I'm not a fan of overly dramatized evaluations. Evaluation is a speech in itself but it is not about the evaluator. It's about giving as much constructive feedback to the speaker and to the audience as we can.

I agree in parts. I learnt to focus on the speaker more after this evaluation. The drama is often required in competitions to stand apart from other contestants.

@@RanjithVenkatesh thanks for replying. I won the evaluation contest at my club last night. I am wondering if I should dramatize it a bit for area level now.

@@realrushiG Honestly, you shouldn't. There are two types of evaluators- ones who deliver their evaluation to show their speaking skills off, and the others who deliver an evaluation for the speaker to grow. A perfect blend of both is what makes you win. But then, you are talking to the contestant. Keep it conversational. Your tone should be explanatory. An evaluation is equivalent to you helping people grow, and steps of growth should always be broken down, elaborately. If I am a judge, I'd be looking for the unique points of recommendation that you had to offer, something that others missed out but you grabbed on to, rather than how good of a speaker you are. But then again, eloquence does play a fair amount of role in it. Eloquence, not dramatization.

Ranjith Sir, the speech link isn't opening. If you can give a gist about the speech in the description box, that would be helpful. I do understand that this video was posted years ago but I'm sure its going to stay here and help many of us , years later too :)
    Thank you for this
