    I think the one thing that may have saved E3 was re-opening it for consumers to attend but executing it well (like how Dustin described Playstation Experience).
    Look at San Diego Comic Con. Objectively, there is no real reason for it to still be a thing when everything gets posted online anyway. But people go anyway because walking the show floor and hanging out with other fans is fun. If SDCC became a press-only event, it would probably die out too.
