- ABC was the former FIBA-Asia. This game features a PBA All-Star team vs. an ABC All-Star team formed of the remaining countries in Asia. PBA All-Stars include Eric Menk, Danny Seigle, Andy Seigle, Rudy Hatfield, Johnny Abbarientos, Kenneth Duremdes, Bong Hawkins, Marlou Aquino, Danny Ildefonso, & Alvin Patrimonio. The Philippine team was coached by Tim Cone and assisted by Alfrancis Chua. The ABC All-Stars were led by Fadi El-Khatib, Elie Mechantaf, Makoto Hasegawa, Cheng Chih-lung & Gong Xiao Bin.... A real treat from the year 2000. Eric Menk 24 points 19 rebounds. Danny Seigle 20 points & 8 assists.

seeing this old video made me realize a couple of things during that era. This were the years when the influx of Fil-Ams came, which coincided with a huge drop in play of certain players. specifically Marlou Aquino. I might get bashed for this, but it was during this time when you kinda saw a lackluster effort from him. he used to go after every shot and go hard at the basket.
As i watched this game, the feeling of having goosebumps every time i watch u play your game was coming back to life.This game reminded of major pain's glory days, and my days as your avid fan.

Eric you were the driving force behind the Charlotte dream team coached by the Legendary Jerry Ernst! Along with Jeff Pepper and Jason Bossard that was the best CHS team ever!
I was a sophomore on the Bossard-Pepper team in 1990. We went 16-5. I thought the team in '92 was better my senior year. We went 19-2. Coach Ernst was legendary indeed. His son Steve now coaches the varsity in Charlotte & they were pretty good this year in his 1st season there.....
Eric Menk Steve is off to a great start with the basketball program at Charlotte. The Dome hasn't been packed like this in several years. Hopefully more good things to come! Looking back, you're right the '92 team was a great team. There was a lot of hype around the '90 team. That team was exciting to watch! I'll never forget Detroit Country day game in 91..
