  • The music of Queen has played the biggest-possible part in the way I've listened to music since I first heard them live in Vienna in 1982: Their sense of craft, musicianship, their willingness to deliver, to overwhelm and their ability to provide sing-along-anthems next to Rock, Blues, Latin, Disco, innocent-naive-pop-music - they could do it all, and then some. Those uploads cherish the beauty of their work and are here - "to entertain you".
This specific song was used at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2021 in Tokyo.

Queen was so succesful in Japan, Freddie adored this country, culture and art so much. He would be very proud and happy now, his music lives on.

Fantastic as always, I especially love the harmony work in this one (particularly in the soft tones at the beginning). The choruses hit really hard too, capturing the spirit of the record (with a bit more punch, I think!), and the buildup is up to par. The descending octaves in the bass at the climax have a great effect, as do the flurry of rapid notes before them.
