How to install a wall mounted toilet. Samai shows you how to install a low flush wall mounted toilet while finishing up a service job in Vancouver, WA.
Question: are the width of the bolts width on the carrier be adjust. It looks like when i measure on a Kohler wall mount the distance is only 8 inches and not 9 inches on toilets you can buy today.
how about wax or better than wax rubber rings. I have both. The better than wax rubber ring fits inside but seems too much and the wax seems near useless here?
Good video. I haven't got the chance to work on one yet so I need it to look something up. Thanks for the info. And what kind of sealant that you put on the gasket?
Wow, u made that look quite easy? Out of curiosity, how much weight can most of the wall mounted toilets hold? I would hate to have a guest feel uncomfortable about having to use the toilet in fear of it coming off of wall!! I think that would definitely be one of the most embarrassing things that could happen to someone. Bad enough when someone breaks a chair. - toilet coming down... well you get the picture. I love them but I want to make sure everyone can use it. Thanks so much for make mg the video!!
Thanks for sharing- I bought an Icera toilet and am about to install one myself. I'm using a Zurn gasket. Do I remove the plastic horn before doing so exposing only pipe? The horn is the part that has a cone-shape at the end that was once surrounded by wax? Thanks!!
Great video. I'm curious - I have one of these in a basement bathroom - and I was wondering if I can replace this wall mount with a Rear Outlet Floor Mount? What are your thoughts? I think the Rear Outlet Floor mount has two bolts that mount to floor and then two bolts that mount to wall. I'm just not sure if the measurements for the outlets will line up - is there an industry standard for rear outlet measurements?
I believe a back outlet, dual mount installs on a flange like a floor mount does where as a wall toilet hangs on a carrier ring and the bottom bolts are farther apart from the watseline on each side. In other words, if you were to replace a wall mount with a dual mount, the whole base of the bowl would slide to the back wall right between the 2 bottom bolts as they'd be too spread out.
Does anyone know if replacing a flange on these is the same process as a floor mount? It seems as if it should be sealed or some other metheod then just sitting it inside and screwing it in.
Awesome, awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing.
It looks easier to install than a standard floor discharge toilet.
