My only concern about MG is the reliability.. because hector faced many reliability issues.. I hope now the MG has solved all the problems with their cars.. very promising car.
I think this car is bang on with all VFM features however they should have come up with a diesel option as well. This will definitely impact their sales. The only reason other Sub-compact/Mid-sized SUVs are popular is their diesel engine.
I took the test drive of 1.5 naturally aspirated engine and really impressed by interior and features, performance was also decent. I took test drive of Taigun, Kushaq, Sletos but this is one step ahead in design, build quality, interior and features. Obviously, Kushaq and Taigun's 1.5 turbo is something that will blow you with performance. Astor comes with attractive price tag and I believe this will tear apart legacy of Creta and Seltos in just one year. But, hold on, Astor has only 177mm ground clearance, I mean can we still call this SUV in India.

MG Astor is pure luxury, particularly the top end Savvy Turbo AT trim. No other car in its segment compares to its build quality, luxurious interiors, tech and safety. It's an international model quite popular in UK and Europe too. Its ADAS too works perfect and far better than the competition. Great job by MG!

You are right, but not entirely. It's still very much a British brand. Just like Land Rover is being owned by Tata, but it's not an Indian brand. The tech is still all british. So is in MG Astor. Just my 2 cents.

If you wanna test the cars for off-roading purpose in Haldwani then its my sincere suggestion go at the back side of Tata motors showroom that’s the perfect spot for off-roading test, you gonna love it.

It's same with every car, but mg is giving luxury features led headlamps, DRLs, soft touch material, climateronic AC, bigger wheels as standard and esp , hill hold , 4 disc brakes, traction control as safety standard while rivals like Hyundai,Kia , volkswagen, skoda are keeping these features reserved for top and mid variants.

This car is just like when Oneplus launched their 1st phones flagship killers i think people should get their hands on this car as soon as possible before the company starts to charge us more price for their cars MG is trying to collect as many customers as possible with this car it suerly is value for money product it may be chinese but i must say im impressed with such aggressive pricing MG is suerly selling this car with very low profit margins to capture the Indian market. I must say MG is playing on thin ice here....

very nice review sir, couple of questions:-
1. iska breaking system jo hai/collision prevent k liye uska throw kaisa hai? i mean car mein jo hai unko jhatka kaise/kitna lagega?
2. compared to honda Amaze CVT petrol 2018 model, iske suspension kaise hai? iska CVT transimission mein koi issues lage aapko?
MG is chinese and hector quality issues has affected their acceptance. Bt if they keep improving ,people will buy them. Bt still personally speaking, i will still have the issue with my money going to chinese economy. Quite a lot of money from middle class standard
