Far North Queensland Tour - Port Douglas, the first days

Our winter tour of the far north - Cairns, the Daintree and the Atherton Tablelands, including the western savannah country. In these first days we get used to the Queensland climate and travel to Port Douglas for a relaxing few days, swimming, walking about the town and going on a reef snorkelling cruise.

Busy country roads with no shoulder suck, some nice views though.

Yep, this one was particularly BAD as it is the only road north to Port Douglas and Cooktown, and it was prime tourist season - Dry season and school holidays.
