- Más de dos décadas en la escena musical, siete discos, giras internacionales y su participación en soundtracks de películas y videojuegos, hacen de Metric una de las bandas contemporáneas más representativas y con mayor trayectoria del synthpop canadiense.
Originaria de Toronto, Canadá; METRIC se forma en 1998 por Emily Haines (vocalista y tecladista) y James Shaw (guitarrista). Dos años después se uniría al proyecto Joshua Winstead (bajista) y el Joules Scott-Key (baterista).
Su sonido se ha caracterizado por la combinación elegante de sintetizadores y el sonido marcado de guitarra y batería que se identifican instantáneamente como métricas.
Art Of Doubt es el nombre de su más reciente trabajo en estudio, producido por Justin Meldal- Johnsen, (Nine Inch Nails , Beck y M83) donde la banda redescubre su amor compartido por la música y la excelente conjunción musical que han formado durante todos estos años. “Esto fue como la culminación de una vida pasada jugando juntos y confiando el uno en el otro”, dice Shaw.

This is a great session. Different vibe from a live show with an audience, but amazing sonically and visually. And great set list.

Them being canadian as I am I did some research for you both.. the radio station libria started on the FM dial in 2018 but due to pandemic they went to online in 2020, but unfortunately went under in august 21 of 2022.. probably reason you didn't hear it is, and I cant find the official date, but with Emily saying they were coming back Oct 6, it was probably online radio cause it appears they played around those dates in 2020.
METRIC is very unique over their years, hope they carry on for many more 😊
