@@haroldkreye8770 Downgraded is too harsh. I must have been having a bad day with it. I had major issues with the rectangular linear bearings sticking and broke many bits, while the circular bearings on the 883 never stick. I also couldn't believe how the spindle shank fit so badly in the spindle bearings. Lots of play, making it impossible to get repeatable results. Those two issues aren't present in the 883. Meanwhile, a new spindle and bearing in the 3 have brought it up to speed for now, so I don't consider it a downgrade anymore.
@@JacobLundquistDesign you can build a machine much bigger, with much more power, much more precision and tougher for about 1000$. If you really want a small machine you could safe yourself about 2300$ by building and designing a better machine with more power etc. and probably selling it for much more money. The Nomad 3 doesn't even have ballscrews and those unsupported linearguides are probably bending.
you jump some parts like leveling and thats i was specting.
Leveling? What can you level?
I have the Nomad Pro, not sure what the difference is but I love it!
Yeah. New spindle 10k-24k, new design. More robust for heavier use. I love it. Having a Cnc at home is so awesome
@@JacobLundquistDesign Ok. Im not likely to over stretch mine but good to know!
The Nomad Pro is vastly Superior to the Nomad 3. Very disappointed in the new downgraded version.
@@Toyhax Why do you consider it a downgraded version?

Did you say it was heavy? LoL. I think they forgot to send me a chip fan.
Yeah that was heavy! And bummer on the fan, email them, it was small, maybe check the foam, it was black and could get lost?
Can u ask how much is this thing?
Yup. Just google it for current pricing. Carbide Nomad 3. Currently they are $2800
