Exactly, There are plenty of places to find Dwarven steel. The storage shed where you find an aetherium shard near mzulft has quite a few, you'll find quite a lot of Dwarven metal going through any dwemer ruins from both ground and Dwarven robots. You'll likely have more Dwarven scrap than iron if you do your smithing leveling like this. Plus you'll be leveling your other skills as you go through each dungeon.
As long as he doesn't leave out how the final rank in idiot savant actually works. Most people I've seen seem to conveniently forget that it's initiated by the usual x5 for any action that grants XP. Then it's 3x XP per kill after that. And you get more XP per enemy than fence posts anyways. So id argue it's faster to get idiot savant to max and just farm large groups of enemies.

Its even possible to get a special stat to 12. If you have INT 10 , you can drink alcohol to temporarily decrease it to 9. Using the You're SPECIAL book, you can bump INT to 10, 11 once the booze wears off. If you get the INT bobblehead after, you have 12 INT. Im sure addictions/chems can be used to exploit this for other stats, although im not sure which ones
Pro tip, paintings stack on the wall no clipping inside each other you can glitch the xp more easily and you don't have to move to delete anything it's all in one spot.
Assuming rates of 140 hours for 3,113,550 xp, that would be approximately 22,240 xp per hour. At 3,113,550 xp you will be lvl 84 in osrs. To 99 Fallout 4 (13,034,431 xp), it would take a little over 586 hours. Still better than mining.
people have gotten to level 99 on destiny islands in kh1, for those people this is actually easier. someone recently spent like 250 hours griding kh2 level 99 in the starting world. this is a walk in the park.

Its also possible to get a stat to level 11, by starting it out at 10, then taking some kind of stat-lowering item (I.E. Various forms of alcohol), then picking up the you're special book and speccing into that specified stat. You can only really do it with 1 thing tho.

You could also do the shelves. They take 2 steel, give the same xp as fence posts and you don’t need to move in order to place them. I learned this from Mitten Squad, may he Rest in Peace.

It’s weird to explain typing but it requires you to to trick the game into thinking the book is a weapon using a weapon bench then you do the scrap/store duplication glitch re gain the special point. I think you need blacksmith 1 as well before u do it. Just search on YT Fallout 4 special book duplication glitch
Go to Saugus ironworks, get the picket fences magazine in the last room so you can build statues, go to sanctuary, duplicate copper, build the max amount of statues you can, then toggle “scrap” (square on ps), then “build” (X on ps), and you don’t have to rescrap everything. Put something that vibrates on the buttons and you can do it autonomously

People used to grind XP in the first reactor of Final Fantasy 7 on ps1. Trying to reach Level 99 before the first boss. It takes millions of xp while doing battles that give like 22xp each.
My dad got level 150+ (i think 153) on a completely vanilla 'very hard' playthrough, he didn't even know about any exploits like fence spamming/idiot savant. before his game file corrupted and was unrecoverable, he was bummed but it's Bethesda so no surprise.
@@mswietny7181 No, I shouldve clarified, he had like 7 or however many autosaves fillup the queue, the corruption went as far back as the saves went though, he tried going to one as old as like 4 days or so and it was toast too.
Different game but it reminds me of my luck on Minecraft. Everytime I built the Plastic Beach from the Gorillaz album, the save would become corrupted or my PlayStation would break or something. After the 3rd time, I gave up 😂 that build is just cursed I guess
My favourite method of gaining xp is a gunner farm, just sleep a week then drop a fat man, there's anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand xp points depending on how big your farm is. best part is the drops cover the cost of the farm many times so you algo get rich.

@@darkdrogod8890 I can’t do Raider settlements unless I’m specifically playing as a lawful-evil character, while role-playing, who was good at first, but they finally snapped and become what they swore to destroy. Also, for Achievements. Personally, I wished there was a way to make the Raiders at least neutral and converted them to mercenaries instead, while also keeping Porter Gage as an interesting companion. Like they would still be aggressive and belligerent towards the Minutemen, but no longer hostile, having newfound respect for them and declaring a ceasefire from the Nuka World Raiders.

Enemies also don't stop leveling and gain more and more health. You will reach the limit of your damage potential before 286 and, you and your enemies will just take longer and longer to kill each other.
... I use the dup glitch with dogmeat on the "you are special" book, then basically just use the glitch to have unlimited materials on the base, and spam complex statues. I did it on like the 4 playthrought because I was really bored
I've seen debates on who the strongest fallout player character is. Just based on gamepley, it's the Sole Survivor. Lore wise is iffy, but no one has a chance against a guy who can turn every robot into his bro, gain bonuses during night and day, bulldoze people in power armor, get hulk-level pissed as a giant nerd, gain bonuses to almost every weapon type they use, slowly regenerate, breathe under water, be able to eat mutants and ghouls, use fusion cores as bombs, have mysterious stranger as a friend, have bullets bounce off, and make a deathclaw their pet by looking at it all at the same time. All of these are real perks and there are more that make the Sole Survivor way to hard too kill
And combat will also be an incredible chore because once you reach a level where your damage skills are all maxed out you aren't getting more from them, but the opponent's health and DR still climbs. Meaning every fight becomes a slog to whittle down some monster or Super Mutant's hp or something.
You can put 10 into each special and then get it's bobblehead to have 11 in each and if you use consumables to bring one back below 10 you can use the SPECIAL book to bring one up to 12.
couldn’t you use SPECIAL book first, then consume/use a drug that reduces an attribute and use the bobble head for it and repeat for the other SPECIAL after consumable effect ran out to get all to 12 ?
@@Dutch4609 It does for some aspects. Charisma will allow you to have more people in your settlements and it keep rising above 10. Strength gives you more carry weight and works above 10 as well. Luck makes the pie machine give you the preserved pie but to be fair you need like 15-20 points for it to work in a reasonable amount of tries.
@@BenoitTremblay-ti3su and Intelligence with experience gain. I think I remember most work a little more than 10 because of consumables and apparel making that pretty achievable even without the hoops I described above xD
2 words cheat room, FYI: I finished the main story before discovering the PS4 version could also have mods. I just did a 10 strength 7vendurance and 5 agility. I was unstoppable. Without armor I could easily punch mirelurks to death with bladed brass knuckles. And then soon I was going on food trips in the glowing sea without power armor

Also did you get the secret free fall armor from the mass fusion building, its hard to reach; watch a tutorial on how to get it if you haven't already. but I did go for 100% in GOW Ragnarok
The fence post strat is like crafting daggers to level smithing. An early community strat that has been outclassed; use the duplation glitch with the guaranteed bag of fertilizer near the chemistry station in Sanctuary, then dupe some plastic and make as much jet as you want. No moving, no dismantling, just spamming X/A/whatever the fuck PC players click for confirm till you hit the level you want and you got a bunch of drugs to sell/use!
I'm not for the spam building scrap method, I do use mods, so I put base exp at 2.5-3x (1 default, 2 in survival), 2.5-3x makes early game progress faster, and keeps a steady phase later. Often I do 3x up to level 30, 2.5x up to lvl 50-60 and 2x (same as survival mode) onwards.
I was two shoting mirelurk queens at one point with a fully upgraded Reba 2. I think I was level 137 or 130 something. I stopped grinding levels every once in a while to grind buying ammo, stimpaks and radaway and getting caps back by selling millions of caps worth in poisoned caltrops. I was almost at level 200 when I bought my new gaming PC and I haven't played my favorite game since last year.
I have had a problem with videos game where I NEED to collect everything and do everything perfectly. If I’m annoyed with how my play through is going, I restart. I can confirm fallout 4 has cured me.
Back when the glitch still existed I just had a save file where I had Dogmeat duplicate the You're SPECIAL book until all my stats were 10. Despite doing it with the plan of then getting all the SPECIAL bobbleheads I don't think I actually got all 7 on any of my playthroughs.
That does bring to mind a question. If you console command to level 70, using all points to max out your SPECIAL to 10 each. Then recover all 7 special bobbleheads, raising them to 11 each. Would the 'you're special' book raise 1 stat to 12? Edit: Just remembered you can start with all specials at 4. So you could console command to level 49, then retrieve the bobbleheads. Hell I'm tempted to try this just for fun.
No level cap again, so you become a master of all. Like in Skyrim. Figures. Anyone remember when these were RPGs where you were rewarded for specializing?
Robot workbench glitch, + well rested, + lovers embrace, + squirrel stew, + lvl 2 idiots savant (never get lvl 3), = more efficient xp! The only downside is your hand gets tired, and you have to keep track of the time limit on the other extra perks.
Just make molotov cocktails. You'll eventually place max boards and have to scrap them to do it over. You can make infinite cocktails. Just use the scrap/store glitch with a glass bottle, cloth, and oil.
Not to mention your base special (meaning before legendary effects or drugs etc) can be above 10 if you do it right! Perception if I remember correctly can quite easily hit 13
i always got the magazine from Fuego iron works to make the copper statues and then dupe alot of copper and just nonstop build those. 1 statue gives 27 xp.
The game will eventually crash if you keep leveling up so while there is no cap there is a cap of what you cant pass. But its at an insane point. The no level cap was a marketing gimmick. As its impossible to really not have a cap
I maxed myself out on my Fallout 4 world I use to do settlement builds. Took me ~350 hours. In terms of actual game design, not having a level cap is stupid and indicative of what Bethesda thinks a game should be.
Or, ya know, console commands. Give yourself a ton of perk points at level 1 as you walk out the vault. I haven't yet but it's going to be a fun "enclave soldier" build
Just make gunner cages at some place. Reloading them costs 5 caps, 1 copper and some steel, in exchange for very high exp profit. Also idiot savant will go of, giving you 3 times the experience for kills, then combined with bloodbath lvl 4 you can blow everyone up ( if your pc can handle that. Additionally, you may use the legendary effect, thatgives you either+1 intelligence unconditionally, or +3 to all stats when at low health. Some unique enchantments are cool too, but it may take more time to actually get those, that to just farm without them
I got max level in 6 hours. I did use glitches but no mods. I used the resource duplication glitch on steel, springs, and gears, to made bear traps. They give more than double the xp and you don't have to spend time destroying them. I did use shelfs to so I could get blacksmith and idiot savant then made bear traps the rest of the way. Now I think 6 hours is only achievable on PC since I used a macro to spam e as fast as the game allowed me. If you are not use to the duplication glitch it could take a lot longer since I did the glitch a good 200+ time. Also I only needed to get to level 250 because I used the Your Special duplication glitch as well. So I only really used two simple glitches to achieve this.
Wooden wall signs stack on top of one another so you don’t have to run around to cheese them. Just stand back from a wall as far as you can while still being able to place one and build away!! Then scrap the stack and repeat, no movement necessary.

Same with old school Ultima online, took me a month to max out 1 skill.

Idiot savant rank 3 is bugged you lose the rank 2 benefits. Not sure if the new update fixed it. The only way to fix it is a mod

Max intelligence, lvl 2 idiot savant, save before you turn in a quest, reload if I.S. doesn't proc. Over 1000 xp for a simple radiant quest.

bobble heads will also increase your stat beyond 10 natively, so you can 11 in each and a 12 in one

This is true but would require you to grind an extra 230000 xp or so and would add like 10 hours to the grind. Using the methods in the video.

My dad got level 150+ (i think 153) on a completely vanilla 'very hard' playthrough, he didn't even know about any exploits like fence spamming/idiot savant. before his game file corrupted and was unrecoverable, he was bummed but it's Bethesda so no surprise.

@@mswietny7181 No, I shouldve clarified, he had like 7 or however many autosaves fillup the queue, the corruption went as far back as the saves went though, he tried going to one as old as like 4 days or so and it was toast too.
@@ZNX05 Mistake in writing, whatever corrupted the exit save broke all the saves in the LOAD screen.
Different game but it reminds me of my luck on Minecraft. Everytime I built the Plastic Beach from the Gorillaz album, the save would become corrupted or my PlayStation would break or something. After the 3rd time, I gave up 😂 that build is just cursed I guess
My favourite method of gaining xp is a gunner farm, just sleep a week then drop a fat man, there's anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand xp points depending on how big your farm is. best part is the drops cover the cost of the farm many times so you algo get rich.

@@darkdrogod8890 I can’t do Raider settlements unless I’m specifically playing as a lawful-evil character, while role-playing, who was good at first, but they finally snapped and become what they swore to destroy. Also, for Achievements. Personally, I wished there was a way to make the Raiders at least neutral and converted them to mercenaries instead, while also keeping Porter Gage as an interesting companion. Like they would still be aggressive and belligerent towards the Minutemen, but no longer hostile, having newfound respect for them and declaring a ceasefire from the Nuka World Raiders.

... I use the dup glitch with dogmeat on the "you are special" book, then basically just use the glitch to have unlimited materials on the base, and spam complex statues.

I've seen debates on who the strongest fallout player character is. Just based on gamepley, it's the Sole Survivor.
Lore wise is iffy, but no one has a chance against a guy who can turn every robot into his bro, gain bonuses during night and day, bulldoze people in power armor, get hulk-level pissed as a giant nerd, gain bonuses to almost every weapon type they use, slowly regenerate, breathe under water, be able to eat mutants and ghouls, use fusion cores as bombs, have mysterious stranger as a friend, have bullets bounce off, and make a deathclaw their pet by looking at it all at the same time.
All of these are real perks and there are more that make the Sole Survivor way to hard too kill

In 140 hours you can become an entry level trades worker
And combat will also be an incredible chore because once you reach a level where your damage skills are all maxed out you aren't getting more from them, but the opponent's health and DR still climbs. Meaning every fight becomes a slog to whittle down some monster or Super Mutant's hp or something.
You can put 10 into each special and then get it's bobblehead to have 11 in each and if you use consumables to bring one back below 10 you can use the SPECIAL book to bring one up to 12.
couldn’t you use SPECIAL book first, then consume/use a drug that reduces an attribute and use the bobble head for it and repeat for the other SPECIAL after consumable effect ran out to get all to 12 ?
Pretty sure it doesn’t make a difference tho. I don’t think the game registers SPECIAL points after 10.
@@Dutch4609 It does for some aspects. Charisma will allow you to have more people in your settlements and it keep rising above 10. Strength gives you more carry weight and works above 10 as well. Luck makes the pie machine give you the preserved pie but to be fair you need like 15-20 points for it to work in a reasonable amount of tries.

I just duped a bunch of plastic and fertilizer n made a ton of jet. Good xp and its weightless so u can carry a ton to sell to traders for caps.

2 words cheat room, FYI: I finished the main story before discovering the PS4 version could also have mods. I just did a 10 strength 7vendurance and 5 agility. I was unstoppable. Without armor I could easily punch mirelurks to death with bladed brass knuckles. And then soon I was going on food trips in the glowing sea without power armor

Also did you get the secret free fall armor from the mass fusion building, its hard to reach; watch a tutorial on how to get it if you haven't already. but I did go for 100% in GOW Ragnarok
The fence post strat is like crafting daggers to level smithing. An early community strat that has been outclassed; use the duplation glitch with the guaranteed bag of fertilizer near the chemistry station in Sanctuary, then dupe some plastic and make as much jet as you want. No moving, no dismantling, just spamming X/A/whatever the fuck PC players click for confirm till you hit the level you want and you got a bunch of drugs to sell/use!
If you get a 10 in a special stat then get its Bobblehead you get a 11 in it. Do this and get vans rank 2 you will have perception at 13

I'm not for the spam building scrap method, I do use mods, so I put base exp at 2.5-3x (1 default, 2 in survival), 2.5-3x makes early game progress faster, and keeps a steady phase later. Often I do 3x up to level 30, 2.5x up to lvl 50-60 and 2x (same as survival mode) onwards.
Once you get to lvl 100 you one shot literally every enemy you come across.
I was two shoting mirelurk queens at one point with a fully upgraded Reba 2. I think I was level 137 or 130 something. I stopped grinding levels every once in a while to grind buying ammo, stimpaks and radaway and getting caps back by selling millions of caps worth in poisoned caltrops. I was almost at level 200 when I bought my new gaming PC and I haven't played my favorite game since last year.

I have had a problem with videos game where I NEED to collect everything and do everything perfectly. If I’m annoyed with how my play through is going, I restart.
I can confirm fallout 4 has cured me.
Back when the glitch still existed I just had a save file where I had Dogmeat duplicate the You're SPECIAL book until all my stats were 10. Despite doing it with the plan of then getting all the SPECIAL bobbleheads I don't think I actually got all 7 on any of my playthroughs.
And this is why you just stack gunner traps into a pit then go ham with the bottlecap mines.
If you use the bronze statues you can get around 40 xp per statute if you use the right chems

If you console command to level 70, using all points to max out your SPECIAL to 10 each.
Then recover all 7 special bobbleheads, raising them to 11 each.
Would the 'you're special' book raise 1 stat to 12?

Just remembered you can start with all specials at 4.
So you could console command to level 49, then retrieve the bobbleheads.

Robot workbench glitch, + well rested, + lovers embrace, + squirrel stew, + lvl 2 idiots savant (never get lvl 3), = more efficient xp! The only downside is your hand gets tired, and you have to keep track of the time limit on the other extra perks.

Just make molotov cocktails. You'll eventually place max boards and have to scrap them to do it over. You can make infinite cocktails. Just use the scrap/store glitch with a glass bottle, cloth, and oil.
Shelves work better than fence posts as they can be stacked so no need to run around, just stay in one place to build/scrap
Not to mention your base special (meaning before legendary effects or drugs etc) can be above 10 if you do it right! Perception if I remember correctly can quite easily hit 13
i always got the magazine from Fuego iron works to make the copper statues and then dupe alot of copper and just nonstop build those. 1 statue gives 27 xp.

it is also possible to become so high level that none of your weapons can kill enemies that level with you.
You can cut that down by duping the You're Special book until your SPECIAL skills are maxed
Do wall shelves. You don't have to run around as they will stack on top of each other.
The game will eventually crash if you keep leveling up so while there is no cap there is a cap of what you cant pass. But its at an insane point. The no level cap was a marketing gimmick. As its impossible to really not have a cap

I maxed myself out on my Fallout 4 world I use to do settlement builds. Took me ~350 hours.
In terms of actual game design, not having a level cap is stupid and indicative of what Bethesda thinks a game should be.
Or, ya know, console commands. Give yourself a ton of perk points at level 1 as you walk out the vault. I haven't yet but it's going to be a fun "enclave soldier" build
Just make gunner cages at some place. Reloading them costs 5 caps, 1 copper and some steel, in exchange for very high exp profit. Also idiot savant will go of, giving you 3 times the experience for kills, then combined with bloodbath lvl 4 you can blow everyone up ( if your pc can handle that. Additionally, you may use the legendary effect, thatgives you either+1 intelligence unconditionally, or +3 to all stats when at low health. Some unique enchantments are cool too, but it may take more time to actually get those, that to just farm without them
Stats go up to 11 if you have the patience to max out a stat before you reach the appropriate point in the story to pick up the bobblehead.
I got max level in 6 hours. I did use glitches but no mods. I used the resource duplication glitch on steel, springs, and gears, to made bear traps. They give more than double the xp and you don't have to spend time destroying them. I did use shelfs to so I could get blacksmith and idiot savant then made bear traps the rest of the way. Now I think 6 hours is only achievable on PC since I used a macro to spam e as fast as the game allowed me. If you are not use to the duplication glitch it could take a lot longer since I did the glitch a good 200+ time. Also I only needed to get to level 250 because I used the Your Special duplication glitch as well. So I only really used two simple glitches to achieve this.

Wooden wall signs stack on top of one another so you don’t have to run around to cheese them. Just stand back from a wall as far as you can while still being able to place one and build away!! Then scrap the stack and repeat, no movement necessary.
It’s possible to get ten in all of your special stats in fallout three if you collect all the magazines and have the right perk
