Tower of Song... one of the most chilling songs ever written.
I see you standing on the other side,
I dont know how the river got so wide,
I loved you baby, way back when
But all the bridges are burning, that we might have crossed
And I still feel so close to everything that weve lost,
Well never, have to lose it again

If anyone deserves an induction, it's Leonard Cohen! He's a poet. Forever. So awesome!

Such a beautiful thoughtful man. A profound depth of soul and heart. A real gentleman with not even a shadow of bitterness for the wrong that was done to him. He is full of grace, love and light!!

What a beautiful man...one's heart just aches and weeps and rejoices with his song, Truly, he is one of the few in our era who profoundly writes and sings of what is the essence of life in our society.

The laughter is a testament to Leonard Cohen's winking humor, that wise and dry chuckling in the dark. To wit:
My friends are gone and my hair is grey
I ache in the places that I used to play
And I'm crazy for love but I'm not coming on
I'm just paying my rent every day
    In the Tower of Song.
--- Leonard Cohen is a witty guy, watch/read his interviews/lyrics/poetry/prose. Imho it's the kind of humor born out of an understanding and acceptance that suffering is a natural part of life.

aaw mama...can this really be the end? no, no its not, because, if there ever was a wrong, it will be cured by the tower of a song!

Wrote a couple of "good lines"? You, Leonard Cohen, wrote a lifetime of extraordinary lines and those 'suggestive' lines have gotten many couples into trouble; for which I am certain. I know no other man's voice or poetry who accomplished that!
