    Oops! Another question. How do students (or parents) submit their work? For example, they have a picture of a piece of paper where they draw something and they want to 'post it' or submit it to the padlet. What do they do? Maybe they have no access to a google classroom, just their phones to work with. Once they access the padlet, how do they put their work on it? Maybe the answer is in the video 'padlet for parents' - haven't seen it yet.

    • @mrstalktechie
      @mrstalktechie  Před 4 lety +1

      Graciela Maleh no worries! 🤗 so if you are providing your parents/students with the link all they have to do is click on it from their device and then they will have access to the Padlet and be able to upload the picture/assignment.

    Hello Mrs. Talktechie!
    Awesome videoooo!
    Question, can you please explain how you do your Padlet to post the binder notes?
    Right now with virtual learning it would be perfect to organize journal notes.
    How would you create it and share it so the kids don’t mess with it?

    Technical question:
    Thank you for your commitment to teachers. I am a new teacher and we have been shown so many resources however, I work with an EL population and the complexity of technology I can use is limited. My plan is to have a padlet with four links-students and parents have one website to visit. Link: 1) Google Classroom (instruction), 20 LSS Instruction site (There is a LSS site, but it takes 12 clicks to locate the student site-which is unrealistic-so I am going to put the student site (LSS curriculum), 3) Resource Link (Web page with available EL resources), and 4) Student/Teacher assignments/submissions.
    Goal: I want Parents submit their child's work (One of the four links on Padlet). This is what I understand from watching this video and Padlet for parents - can you clarify - offer suggestions.
    Padlet 1: Teacher padlet for grading (no student view)
    Padlet 2: Student/Parent web site with all important links (math/reading/science in one place)
    Padlet 3: Student/Parent padlet for binder and submission of work Periods 3 and 4
    Padlet 4: Not available
    Question 1: I have 65 students-I am not able to have 65 padlets. Solution: put all Period 1 students on one padlet. However, does that mean the all parents and students can see the other student's work? (Not allowed-student privacy?)
    Question 2: I have 6 class periods-I can have 3 padlets. Solution: put 2 periods on one padlet. However this results in rows (30 ish) per padlet. Idea?
    Question 3: Is it acceptable to provide a link to your padlet for parents on my Google Classroom site-I change web address to "Padlet for Parents from Mrstalktechie" (Is this sufficient credit or how would you like for me to reference you?)

    • @mrstalktechie
      @mrstalktechie  Před 4 lety

      Tina Marie oh ok! I understand! Screen casting! I use Camtasia, it’s a video editing program. However, if you want to get your feet wet first I would totally recommend screencastify (google chrome extension) or Screen cast-o-matic (download from web) both of those are free. 😍🤗😍

    Great videos! Thanks for all of the wonderful content.
    I teach grade one.
    Would it be worth it to connect a virtual classroom to Seesaw and Padlet? Would that be too much? I was thinking of linking/housing items such as weekly notes/updates to parents in Padlet as well as regularly used items such as sight words. But, we have to use See Saw. I like Padlet and have used it. I am new to Seesaw. So, do you think it would be okay to use both?

    • @mrstalktechie
      @mrstalktechie  Před 4 lety +1

      blessed I love Padlet, it is an oldie but goodie! However, I think you need to gauge your parents, since you’re working with 1st graders and see if they can handle multiple types of LMS

    • @mrstalktechie
      @mrstalktechie  Před 4 lety

      Ginny Spencer yes, just not sure how many columns are allowed under the “shelf” Padlet option.

  • @gracielamaleh7205
    @gracielamaleh7205 Před 4 lety +1

    Maybe it is obvious but... do students have to download padlet as an app. and/or have a padlet account in order to interact?

    • @mrstalktechie
      @mrstalktechie  Před 4 lety +1

      Graciela Maleh hello Graciela! Thanks for reaching out, no the students do not need an account at all. Once you share the link of the padlet they can contribute and interact anonymously, which is a good and bad thing all at the same time. So I always make the setting to moderate, just in case kids have the habit of posting something unproductive or inappropriate.

    • @mrstalktechie
      @mrstalktechie  Před 4 lety

      If you would like to use your 1st padlet as a template, you can go into it and "remake" it. You can find that feature at the top right corner within your first padlet. However, you will have to issue a new link for your day 2 assignment. I hope that helps, if not, feel free to message me back. You can also find me on facebook, instagram and twitter under @Mrstalktechie.
