I have made the odd paddle like that in the past. Quite successful too. Please keep posting as my health means I won't get back in the kayak for at least another year #thatkayakguy.
those fishbites makes a big differences huh? so much less messier and faster to set up. good range of species off the deep and those were some good size gurnards too.
Its definitely convenience , obviously i was using big fresh natural baits for the big rig but anything smaller . Whats the point of using smelly pilchard anymore ? 😅
My max i’ve done is 10km offshore solo, gets a bit dangerous out further , if there aren’t a heap of boats in the area. Hopefully push to 15 for that puka / tuna this summer 🤘
That must have been that 3-4 day window week before last? There's another one on the cards this coming weekend, half meter or less swell and zero wind till the Centre of that high moves past. Kayak carrier won't be done yet so I'll be stuck landbased.
I don't think I've ever thought about it that way, the few sharks i have interacted with have always been chill towards the boat even if they want to eat my fish.
