    I have to go fast because most viewers have requested short tutorials. I could show more detail in 20 minutes, but most viewers will not click a 20 minute video, so it is always hard to get all the steps into a clear and short package. Pause is very helpful with these tutorials.

    Thank you! I've never done any origami before but I wanted a creative way to give money as a gift. Your directions were mostly clear (had to watch the sleeves part and getting the collar over the tie several times) and I've folded two in just a few minutes. Thanks!

    Yes, you can cut a different kind of paper the size of a dollar or you can actually scale it up and down as long as it the same ratio. Many foreign currencies are same size too.

  • @crazypcdude
    @crazypcdude  Před 11 lety

    Okay, when you pull out a sleeve, hang on to it and just smash everything else back down. Basically, you just take the fold where the sleeve should go make it stick out from the shirt body and squish everything back to where it was.

  • @crazypcdude
    @crazypcdude  Před 11 lety

    That's great. It really does take practice, as you said. I have folded many of these and each one looks a little crisper than the last. I try to film my videos fast, because most viewers don't want to see a 30 minute long tutorial, but patience and good creases really do make a better end product. Thanks for your nice comments!

    Thanks! I try to just explain what the fold is and leave out stuff like "now make an inside reverse mountain fold". It is so much easier to just say, "start at the white edge and fold to the number one", but no one wants to say it that way. :-)

  • @crazypcdude
    @crazypcdude  Před 11 lety

    Okay, you have just folded the dollar in half (between the tie & collar. After this fold the tie will be on one side and the collar on the other. With the collar side facing up, fold just the collar part upwards so it just barely overhangs the tie side. The edges of the collar will hook over the tie side to look like a shirt collar, then you can press the whole thing flat and crease it. My other shirt origami (no tie) demonstrates how this works a bit easier. Link is in video description.
