Thanks! Awesome tutorial- got it on the first try and I normally have trouble with origami. You are a great instructor!!
Best Valentine's gift ever.
I have to go fast because most viewers have requested short tutorials. I could show more detail in 20 minutes, but most viewers will not click a 20 minute video, so it is always hard to get all the steps into a clear and short package. Pause is very helpful with these tutorials.
This is cool. I was very impressed the first time I saw a woman do it!
i thought your description on making this ring was the best way i've ever seen. Thanks
Thank you! I've never done any origami before but I wanted a creative way to give money as a gift. Your directions were mostly clear (had to watch the sleeves part and getting the collar over the tie several times) and I've folded two in just a few minutes. Thanks!
great instructor got it the first time for all you who cant do it its not your fault you just dont have it.........................
I made it! it was very easy, thanks! p.s. people, if u think he's going fast, make pause and then play it again, dont be lazy (:
This one took a few tries to learn for me too. Good Luck!
whenever you wanna move your hands adjust the video where we can see that would be great
your a great teacher thank to you and sheer boredom i now have my first dollar origami shirt ! :D
Great tutorial! Thank you, it makes an awesome Father's Day present.
Sounds like you need to try again. Practice and sharp creases are key to getting all the folds to work perfectly in the end. :)
Awesome! This is gonna be my next hobby lol.
I did it! Mine came out weird looking, but that's cuz I rushed it a bit and didn't crease it properly. It was really fun! Thx for uploading this :)
Mine turned out great. :) Thanks for the video.
Yes, you can cut a different kind of paper the size of a dollar or you can actually scale it up and down as long as it the same ratio. Many foreign currencies are same size too.
great work men, thanks a lot.
AWESOME, I made it after three rewinds of the necktie section, lol
Great tutorial! Thanks a lot!!
Awesome. I have heard it looks great with Chinese money as well since they have so many colors.
Great tutorial!!
Wowwww!!! That's amazing!!
instructions were'nt clear enough, got dollar bill caught in ceiling fan
use a needle or safety pin to help make the folds, helped me alot
Okay, when you pull out a sleeve, hang on to it and just smash everything else back down. Basically, you just take the fold where the sleeve should go make it stick out from the shirt body and squish everything back to where it was.
That's great. It really does take practice, as you said. I have folded many of these and each one looks a little crisper than the last. I try to film my videos fast, because most viewers don't want to see a 30 minute long tutorial, but patience and good creases really do make a better end product. Thanks for your nice comments!
What went through his mind before he made the video- Oh look! I learned how to make a very complex origami dollar! I'm gonna make a video of it and make it seem easy so everyone else feel like an idiot!
i'll go to a store and be like: "do u accept payments in shirts?" "what?" "can i pay with giving you a shirt?" "no i don't think..." *i pull out a shirt bill* "it has a necktie too"
Yes, thanks for sharing it!
dude that wuz super simple!!!
Thanks! I try to just explain what the fold is and leave out stuff like "now make an inside reverse mountain fold". It is so much easier to just say, "start at the white edge and fold to the number one", but no one wants to say it that way. :-)
This is sooo stinking cute.
My sleves look funny but thanks for the tutorial I loved it!!! ~Zoie
Yes, I have spent many a shirt. People love to get them. The usually substitute it with a dollar in the register and take it home. A few boring people unfold them. LOL
Great tutorial I had to redo my collar but it was good
Very good !!! Thx
Sorry, It is hard to do the small folds without blocking it a little. I am considering a new version in the near future, so keep an eye on this channel. :)
I get lost at the sleeves :(
I have paused and replayed x35. Smh.
this is really cool
Awesome!
i keot messing up on getting the sleaves to be even but i finally got it :)
Great video
Our notes are longer (6.14 × 2.61 in or 156 × 66.3 mm). You could try folding it down to make the ratio match.
I saw the video I knew I couldn't do it so didn't waste time but looks good
your hands are in the way
$THANK YOUU FOR UPLOADING !!!!!!! :D $
So very cool
The 20 will work, since it is the same size as a single. I think the $1 looks better, though. (and its cheaper)
Omg! Its so cute!!! Anyway I did it well, thank you very much! Gonna make a lot after this :)
Very nice
Sure will.
Okay, you have just folded the dollar in half (between the tie & collar. After this fold the tie will be on one side and the collar on the other. With the collar side facing up, fold just the collar part upwards so it just barely overhangs the tie side. The edges of the collar will hook over the tie side to look like a shirt collar, then you can press the whole thing flat and crease it. My other shirt origami (no tie) demonstrates how this works a bit easier. Link is in video description.
Will this work with 4 quarters?
That depends on how good you are at folding things.
So cool
Any tips on the making of the tie part? I can't get it.
this also works with 10 Serbian dinars. Great job.
Wow how did you come up with that idea
Thats cool
cool
I CAN'T DO THE STUPID FUCKING TIE AND I SHOULD BE STUDYING AND THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE. ... Sorry for my outburst...
Good
thanks
Very nice German Potato
intresting... but will it work with a 20 dollar bill...?
Oh shoot! I have too many uneven creases..... I'll have to iron out my bill and start all over again......lol
Interesting
Ya I should too! :)
This also works with a 5 euro bill!
can u still use the bill ??
I got confused but I think I'm getting it
what is lenght and height of that dollar
Correct. It is 6.14 × 2.61 inches or 156 × 66.3 mm. Thanks wikipedia! :-)
Congrats....sort of.
true dat
does it work without a dollar
welc
Mr money!!!
I sort of did it
I couldn't figure out how to do the tie..
Might I add this is harder to do with Canadian money.
I dropped mine off at the cleaners for a good starching and I have yet to see my shirt again!!!
cheap christmas present >:D
It seemed to work just fine with my 100 dollar bill; I don't understand what all the confusion is about.
Now try doing it in British notes lol
Bro, slow down
@syed kamran abdul mujeeb he is from america... therefore, it is mostly an american dollar bill
I don't understand the tie part
How much is that shirt with a Necktie? Why it's only a dollar!
P.S. to all ppl who can' do the tie-It takes practice, but you'll get it. It took me more than an hour to get it right >_
thumbs up if you're trying to make a complete set of money clothes.
it took me 10 minutes to do the tie
1st off slow down every fold i have to go back and watch again second give a better angle so i can see better like a over veiw kindof
Try it, & Let us know, lol
Mine turned out weird
Alone
Hell....I can't even figure out how to do the tie....lol.
Very funny
why wouldn't it?
