God bless you for caring for this abused, neglected little dog. He hasn’t been neutered & probably used for breeding only, like in a puppy mill. It’s obvious he hasn’t been socialized, loved, hugged & treated like the beautiful creature that he is. This breed of dog is so sweet, so happy & loving & it’s just criminal that he’s been treated so badly. He’s such a cute little dog & I pray he’ll be treated with love & respect. Thank you for all you do🙏😘🥰🤗🙏

I think you do it best when you explain to the owner that their dog is in constant pain when it is as neglected as this little dog was. He seemed to be so happy when you held and scratched him at the end. You do a great service as well as good advertising for your shop when you do this simply out of the kindness in your heart. I like your philosophy - explain to the owner that the dog is suffering and give them another chance! You were so right - this dog doesn't seem aggressive normally - but only when he is scared. I love the cuddles at the end! You did a great job!

I think you were explaining it well why they need to keep up with the grooming. You said that the matted fur is heavy and hurts the animal. Maybe they didn't know it was hurting animal and in telling them, they would realize how important it is to keep up with. Also, the dog is happier and in a better mood. It probably feels really good when some one pets them when there hair is like this. If they fur is groomed, it won't be an area for pests to take root. I love how you turned the aggressive and neglected do into a happy and well taken care of dog.

We have been in this business for many years and nothing like this has ever happened to us. We are sure of what we are doing and of course we are careful that something like that does not happen.
This dog was never trained to be groomed, that is why he is in this condition. With patience an konsequens he'll learn that grooming won't kill him!

This poor dog should have been lightly sedated before grooming to relax it.
It is not safe to sedate dogs. For such dogs, we cannot know if they have a heart defect. If there is a heart defect, and we give him sedatives, the dog can die. We work with sedatives only when we are in the veterinary station and when the veterinarian is monitoring the condition of the dog.
