@@highspeed9518 Uh....no. An Ar requires that you push ONE damn pin out with whatever you have. This requires TWO separate punches, a screwdriver (!!) AND a mallet. Screw that.
I wish Ruger would bring out an integrally suppressed barrel assembly that you could just swap out for the regular barrel assembly, maybe even do it like the MP5SD barrel with bleed holes to reduce round velocity to subsonic levels.

When I work on my guns I not only make sure they are not loaded and no magazine. I also evacuate my entire street and the streets around my home by 16 thousand miles! Then I know it's totally safe.
What is keeping the barrel spacer from falling off once the barrel assy. is removed? I didnt seem to have a problem until I removed the barrel from the hand-guard and re-assembled. Now it falls off regularly every time I break down.

Those 2 pins will fall out by themselves. They are very loose.

Lock the bolt back so chamber is visible. Then you can remove the barrel. It doesn't work if thr bolt is closed.

Ruger has had the problem of designing a simple disassembly with every single one of their products.
