    Iron sights definitely looks better.
    I reckon .243 would be the one to have.

    See through scope rings so I can use iron sights for close or moving shoots or optics for long range

    Skinner peep sight / scope mount combo is the way to go methinks.

    I own a Henry .357 Big Boy Steel Carbine, large loop. The Buckhorn sights are awesome. Beautiful carbine.

    With 20-20 vision, open sights. As it is with aging eyes, a scope. And I say faster than a bolt gun. Compound movement versus micro movement in higher stress hunting/situations = lever>bolt

      Quite probably true. hard to use prone though

    I would like the open sites along with the capability to mount a scope, I am considering one of these for a coyote gun, I love lever guns

    I love it. Also have a Mossberg MVP 223. I'm liking this more and more. The Mossberg has a heavy barrel and an AR15 birdcage flashhider but I can shoot the Henry lefthanded and cycle it quickly. Yes, quicker than a bolt. I like the 4 pound trigger pull on the Henry also. When I said I wanted a lever action 223, everyone said why and I'm still happy I found this one.

      a lighter trigger would be nice, although the one it comes with isnt bad

    A red dot sight, sounds good.

    I got mine in .308 Win. Hard to beat a 30 cal. Love all my Henry rifles and my Henry "pistol" the Mare's Leg in .357 magnum. Yup, the BATF considers it a pistol but the Canadians say it is a rifle. Gotta love it either way!

    open sights for fun then put a scope on it for vermin control best of both worlds

  • @matthewfigelski2587

    Both a scope and open sights

    This is what a u.k gun shop looks like. I really feel bad that they are stuck with non semi auto, double barrel stuff. At least you can still own something.

  • @elreyes78

    This was going to be my next long gun but with all the whispers of another “assault weapons” ban, I had to get an AK47 first since I only had AR15’s. If the government tells me I can’t have one, I will go out and get one. Hopefully I can get this beauty for Xmas.

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  Před 6 lety

      Something a little different, that's for sure. Enjoying the AK?

    • @elreyes78
      @elreyes78 Před 6 lety

      The Gun Shop honestly I don’t really shoot them too often. They are more of “in case of emergency rifles” when the 💩 hits the fan, there will be two kinds of people. Those with guns and those without them. Thanks for the reply. I enjoy your videos.

    I much prefer iron sights. Scopes are just an added hassle and it'll be used entirely for range shooting. In my area, these cartridges can't be used for hunting anything. Ohio just recently started to allow rifles for deer but only straight wall cartridges. No .223/5.56 but .45 Colt is fine. It's weird.

    this will replace those lever release / mars rifles when they get banned and orded to be handed in ! and no-doubt the police will go mentle when they find out about this rifle !

    Just waiting to get mine back. Having it threaded for suppressor , and putting a Leopold scope on it along with a bipod. This will be my coyote, and other varmit gun.

  • @yeahbee8237

    blatant Browning BLR ripoff
    probably more accurate than the BLR but also heavier
    the BLR is plenty of accurate but my thin barrel starts to string the shots pretty fast, not a rifle to shoot great groups with

    • @Aleckael
      @Aleckael Před 5 lety

      And the BLR was a blatant rip off of the savage 99.
      It's not like the BLR has the god given prestige of detachable mag lever gun.
      I'd rather have a BLR though, i don't understand what Henry has against pistol grips.
