One tip, if it's available in your market, stainless steel staples (I have never tried non-ferrous staples, but anything that doesn't readily "rust") eliminates the potential of rust bleed-through.
Tried to see if I could pick it apart. Couldn't find anything wrong. Great video
Another great video pool and great minds think alike because I have always also done the 45-degree cut on these. Now you mentioned using the staples I have never done this and have not had any problem because the adhesive is just so darn strong so do I really need to start stapling? This method you showed today should be good for DIYers also, because it can be a challenge for some people too run screws through their corner bead without overdoing it and making the corner bead start to ripple and bend

Paul-Thanks for the vid. As a GC that does his own drywall on remodels (self taught) , I've always struggled with the corner bead @ windows. I've tried cutting the bead square & @ 45 degrees (though I would cut it at the opposite 45 than you did(long point on the outside edge) & was never consistent. Your method seems much better. Can I assume that you would then prefill &tape diagonally across the face of the corner to fill in the gaps from the butted board.
This method of cutting corner bead would work well with metal corner bead as well?

Will the staples rust ?
Yes, unless nonferrous. Staples aren't even necessary and don't even provide that much grip. You should put the spray adhesive on the contact surface and the corner bead
How come moisture board only around window?
What kinda backwards stapler is that? My buddy stapled his hand when we used one of those, i was lucky i didnt get to use it first or it would have been me 😂😂
