I wish all the DR Horton sups were half as good and personable like as this guy. 😐

Did a phase inspection which we told we were able to do by sales people. Inspection came back with things that needed to be fix prior to the next step, was then told by sales people that they would not fix these things and as long as the house passes their inspection they will not fix anything 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I am not a repairman nor do I want to be. I must say this has been an extra burden on me purchasing my Lennar home. First, on the day of the walk threw the house was dusty. The grass was being put down in my yard on the same day. Meaning the grass had not been watered at all. I had a scratch on my kitchen counter which the representaive said it is not covered under the warranty. The same day of the walk threw was the closing. Meaning Lennar is rushing to fast to close the deal but not doing good quuality work. this has been a mess. I moved in on February 28th and it has taken me a whole month trying to clean up their mess with several different items that need to be done and I still have a few minor problems. And now you want me to do a virtual repair? I have paid good money. I am honestly thinking about selling this house and getting me another house from respondsible builder.

Yeah, I almost purchased a Lennar home because it was really nice looking. I knew they didn't have the best reputation but I figure that stuff is community specific. Upon looking closer, I saw all types of issues while the salesperson gave us a tour which made me think twice. The previous buyer's financing fell through right before closing so that house should have already been closing ready and it clearly wasn't. I'm glad I didn't do it.
I purchased a DR Horton home but they have a questionable rep as well. I think it's mainly because they are the largest builder (more opportunity for stuff to go wrong) and then you have so many subcontractors out there that they hire. You don't know which ones are good or bad. I had purchased a new construction DRH previously in 2009 as well and didn't have any issues. I spoke with people in this new community and no one has had any issues so I feel comfortable. They do their walk through/orientation 1 week before closing and then I have an independent inspector coming in before the walkthrough as well. They've already laid sod and have mostly cleaned the place up even before the walkthrough. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Lennar.

From the posts I have seen you have a horrible record of home repairs on your new homes, even when yoir company is clearly responsible for the building errors!!

yup! ...we got hit with tearing out the entire upstairs floors and adding the screws that they did not have time to put in ...if we had not done this our floors would sound like a creaking old 100 year old house ...could not get any help from by d r horton company ...

Looks like a recirculation range hood fan with a gas stove. Not a good idea.

Buy an RV along with DR Horton home. You'll need it when the house falls down on your head.

Biggest home builders, yet messed up on a lot of houses that are all over $300,000 and those people couldn’t even turn on their outside water without water entering the home 🥴... y’all are not a good company! I can build homes better than y’all and if a problem happens I’d have the bed customer service I could give
