Not saying that discredits his lack of defense on the perimeter but in his early days he certainly was an all time great shot blocker/rim protector, on the lakers he also was averaging at least 2 blocks per game or more. But with actual perimeter guys/athletic wings like Iverson or McGrady Shaq often had a much harder time on defense. Hell even Grant Hill gave Shaq problems when he first came in, but I would say Shaq definitely wasn’t a bad defender by any means IMO

I grew up watching NBA on TNT/TBS when I was in high school. The show was always fantastic. But adding Shaq in there just brought it up to a new level that I didn't think was possible. And God bless Ernie Johnson, what an amazing host. He's always able to toe the line between allowing humor and keeping the show on track.
Yeah, the show would just be utter chaos without him. I don't think any other show has as much natural chemistry amongst its cast as inside the nba.
