Btw i didn't explain what happened in the ending of the video but what happened is that there is a colissions in the level but i can't see anything because there isn't any sprites in the level like in 4:50 💀

The good old Sonic2.exe finally got a remake, pretty interesting.
Yeah
That ending tho,makes the official Sonic.exe remake seem Family-friendly (obviously it's not family friendly it's a comparison)
Props to the artist for drawing the deaths so disturbing yet sort of interesting to look at.
I couldn't really make out what was happening in the deaths, but I'd say the same - grizzly stuff.

I don't think it's a good comparaison, since the official sonic.exe focus more on his ambience
This takes me back to the early video of you playing the original sonic2.exe trilogy. Seeing it as a remake now, they really fixed pretty much everything that kind of limited the game from getting scary. (Honestly I'm surprised they made zalgofied tails (yes that's who he is in the original) into an actual exe)
I liked the unique walking-then-running type of movement from the original. Ive always thought that it would be fun to have a Sonic game with that type of movement, maybe just adding some extra content to make it more fun and not just a slower Sonic game.
Anyways, great to see this fangame back; brings back memories and feelings.
Isnt it weird that we have grown accustomed to having good nostalgia over these creepy things? Its weird, but it feels nice, so who cares.
That's pretty much how nostalgia goes, things don't even have to be good, but as the years go by we tend to want to go back... And so we look at things of the past with positive light.
Now that's a real horror game if I have ever seen one! Props to the creators.

Ok, this is an incredible remake. I liked the original, but I did think it relied alot on screamers aswell. This one relies more on a proper horror setting and even has proper gameplay sections.
I'm happy the classics are getting remake!

If i have one complaint
The death scene being "censored" kinda ruins it
Sure CZcams will then be toxic about it (probably)
But, sonic OMT is not afraid to show how gruesome deaths are
This only shows a bit of the deaths, but imagine you can actually see what that tails demon is doing, then it's really horrific, and for the masochists very satisfying. That's my only complaint.

Also a death scene being censored could add to the horror. Kinda makes you think “oh god what could he be doing?” But that’s just me personally.

More than "censorship", it was an issue of lack of resources. We didn't have any animators on the team and we wanted to make an ending different from the original, so we used the resource of leaving the situation up to the player's own interpretation, giving clues about what is happening and focusing on the sound design to make it immersive.
This resource is more used in cinema than in this type of games, so at a certain point it ended up being something innovative within exe games.
