Troubleshoot Fuel Quantity Gauge

Troubleshoot Fuel Quantity Gauge. This video shows how I decided to troubleshoot this indicator. I could not find any information about this system. What I am doing could be completely wrong. So don't do what I do. But what I have done seems to be fine.

Take a wire directly from sender to fuelgauge on instrument cluster. Worked for my me on my ford 4000

Get a Ford tractor shop manual; it will give you all the information you need.

I seem to have a hard time finding this info in the shop manuals. Steve.. do you know where to look?

any Ford/New Holland dealership will have a sending unit if you need one.
