    Since I am unable to consume moringa powder in water I prefer to boil a glass of water then I add moringa leaves along with its stem coarsely cut into the boiled water & add little salt to taste.
    Immediately I put off the fire & cover the content. After One hour I put the entire content in the blender & grind to liquidy paste & strain in the strainer. Drink this tasty warm soup as a midday drink. Its tasty & healthy.

    the easy way i find to add these leaves in my meals is just throw in a handful in your dal or sabzi at the end of cooking like garnish. just like you garnish with coriander leaves add some moringa leaves too. secondly i add it while making roti dough and make it similar to methi paratha. I also throw some in my idli batter and make healthy idlis. no need to grind the leaves. just add a handful of leaves to the batter before steaming. it gives a good look to the idli's too. same with dosa batter. just add a few leaves before pouring the batter on the tava. use these leaves just like methi leaves. use it in making muthias. instead of aloo methi make aloo moringa. I mean there are a 100 ways of using the leaves in your ordinary day to day diet. no need to dry it , powder it unless you dont get it easily. atleast in Mumbai most housing societies will have this tree in their compounds. some small nana nani parks also have these trees. so its easy to find. Drumsticks too have a lot of health benefits. the seeds of the drumstick has anti microbial and anti bacterial properties. in many African countries the powder of dried drumstick seeds is added to well water to purify the water. the flesh of the drumsticks is good for bone health too.

      Excellent input! I've a Q 4 u- Trying to include it in diet 4 my Nani. She is 83 yrs old & suffering extreme weakness. But since she is a poor eater, adding it 2 general meals will not benefit her. I feed her a mix veggie juice (Beet, cucumber, carrot, spinach etc) EVERY morning. Is it safe to add 1-2 tbsp fresh moringa leaves to d juice?? Will this help her? Thx!

    • @buddhapiyao1315
      @buddhapiyao1315 Před 3 lety +3

      @@1peeptom absolutely. add good 2 handfuls of leaves to this juice. it will help her bowel movements too which in turn will make her feel hungry. add some in her meals too. add in dals, simply add a handful of leaves in rotis or grind the leaves to a paste and add it to roti flour. mix a handful of leaves with absolutely any sabzi you make. mix with some aloo or paneer and make parathas. add it to soups, khichdi, poha upma. this is a very versatile leaf and no peculiar taste. so it can be added to absolutely any dish you cook. it even dries well. just tie the branches and hang it upsiide down in shade for a few days or take the leaves off and spread it on a soft cotton dupatta and let dry for 3- 4 days. just give a few hours of sun. you can then either make a powder of these leaves or pack the dried leaves as it is in paper bag and store in an airtight container or a ziplock bag. once dried crisp it will last you good 3-4 months. but if you can easily find it fresh, use fresh leaves.

      Very nic information. This helped me use moringa in different ways. Will definitely try your suggestions.thank a lot.
      Could u please guide me how to store fresh leaves...before drying aren't they need to wash off, and after drying can it be used the way you gave ideas using fresh ones.
      Also can we store in freezer to keep them fresh like, n if so do you know how.
      As in my place this is not easily available, I have potted the plant in my house and whatever amount of leaves I have got I want to store before they dries .it's a small plant .
      Thank u :)

    • @buddhapiyao1315
      @buddhapiyao1315 Před 2 lety +4

      @@arshjain1273if you wash it then it will not dry properly or it will get moldy. simply remove the leaves, put them in a paper bag and keep in the fridge. use as and when you want. you can simply rinse it before adding it to any of your preparations. fresh leaves will last for a good week in the fridge. if you want to dry it, dont dry it in the sun. roast the leaves on a very low flame constantly stirring till they become crisp. I even roast curry leaves like this when I want to make a dry curry leaf chutney. once roasted well, they dont go bad or turn yellow. store it in a dry glass container. the plant itself though grows easily. get a big pot to grow. the roots should have enough space to spread. remember it is not a small plant , it is a tree. if you have a backyard or some open space, it will grow much faster. in about 6-8 months this tree reaches to 5-6 feet and gives enough leaves. I would highly recommend this tree to be grown in any open space available. in parks, gardens, building compounds ect. its Free and natural multivitamins. at the nana nani park near my building we have 4 moringa trees, guava trees, large lemon tree - the medicinal kind found in Kerala the lemons are the size of a coconut., Kadamb tree, amla tree, curry leaves bush. even a common small park can become a medicinal plant garden if everyone comes together.

    Excellent presentation. Very useful video.
    In olden days in Kerala, elders used to plant this tree close to open well for drinking water. The scientific explanation is natural way of purification of drinking water in the well. This tree is believed to b collecting all pollutants and poison in the surrounding areas and collect and in preserve in the leafs which normally shed in the month of July. During this particular period the leafs are not plugged and used for making any dish/ any preparations. This is particularly applicable for deshi variety moringa tree. Leafs of hybrid variety plants which r predominant now a days this does not apply.

      Daily consume sukha sabji made of leafs of moringa tree. Your infant will get more breast milk from u. It is very easy to prepare a dish. Take out the leafs from the plant, wash it, and allow the water to dry out, boil some oil in a pan, add mustard, add a bit of haldi powder, , can add one chopped onion after the mustard has burst in heated oil, add a bit of grated coconut,add salt to taste, and add the washed leafs to the pan, mix the whole thing in the pa cover the pan with a lid, put the pan or slim flame. No water to b added. Keep mixing the contents in the pan at frequent intervals till the water generated by the leafs dry up. A very good side dish for any meals.

    धन्यवाद मेडम आपके वीडियो बहुत अच्छे होते हैं लेकिन बोलने की स्पीड इतनी ज्यादे होती है कि समझने में मुश्किल होता है कृपया थोडा स्पीड पर कोट्रोल रखें तो बेहतर होगा।

      If you boil moringa it will destroy most of its benefits. Try to put moringa in a lukewarm liquid and cover it for some time. I put moringa powder in all my vegetable smoothies.. you may want to try.

    I have been taking the same for last 20+ days (with warm water plus honey on empty stomach) and I don't see any weight loss happening not even half a kg. And no much improvement with bowl movement. Some claim it reduces BP readings as well, in my case it has not. I haven't checked on sugar/diabetes as I am not diabetics..... I guess it's all hype.

    Yes be careful i ate it as a child without side effects. I ate it fried with coconut milk last week and had chest problems, vibration, twitching in my chest. Please research.
