I love this song! Alot of people think of them as a theatrical band and not musical. I've seen them many times live, and believe me when I say that they are musician's. They are spectacular live.
I was on 3 of their cruises, they were phenomenal on the no make up sail away show, they played together and relaxed, I can’t say the same about to full make up show, yeah it’s a show, but they all are trying to outperform each other, the music is not together, as much as I love Kiss their prime was with Bruce and Eric

That was a very common thing in the videos back then. It annoyed me. Why show up to lip-sync to your song and then dance and pose and not, at least, pretend to play the part that you obviously would play if it was live?? For me, Kip Winger was the most annoying. He'd be slinging his bass but never plays it as he posed and stroked his hair, etc. Obviously it is a marketing ploy to entice people, especially those prone to the illusion, to watch the video then go out and buy the song. Music videos are basically commercials.
Yes,Paul wrote Alot but, so did Gene Simmons. You should listen to his lead vocals, totally different vibe. Try Dr Love, Going Blind or (my favorite) Domino off of MTV unplugged. The whole show is awesome check it out!

The part that gets me about this song is when he mentions her "icy tears." Most often ice is a reference to lack of emotion or malice. That tells me that she's fake crying in order to possibly get him to stay with her so she can continue both relationships even after he found out she was cheating on him.
Seen Kiss at The Selland Arena in Fresno, Ca in 1977. Imagine a young girl 8 months pregnant rocking out to this crazy band.. Had the time of my life, all my homegirls loaded me up with their pot, couple bottles of Whiskey, plus their Coke...one bottle of liquor under under my pant legs, the other drugs resting easy in my bra..Unreal people LOL...😂😌😘😍😛🙃.
