    Should anyone in the US trying to obtain the Black Textured paint from Zero Paints and not be able to get it (I couldn't), there is a good substitute called Krylon, Fusion All-In-One, Paint-Primer, Textured Black that you can get from your local hardware store. The texture is actually works great at 1/25 scale, not out of scale, the black needs no additional sealant as it does well on its own. Normally I would never recommend using commercial paint products meant for larger construction projects, as the spray heads are meant to cover larger surfaces quickly and just don't work for modeling, but in this case I took a chance and it worked VERY nicely. Hope that helps the US viewers.

    Can you explain something. What is the function of the adjusting screw, other than provide spring for the button/lever on the part of the airbrush that contains the spring for the button? You can screw it in and out, and it doesn't seem to make any difference one position, so is it just securing it?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  Před 4 lety

      If its the screw i think you mean. Its simple to keep it in place

    As always a fascinating job on the model, the level of detail is insane, i love the colour choices as well). I would like to ask you a question: how and where should you leave the models drying after painting and not get dust or any other stuff in the paint in the results? I am currently building my first model and i have no experience with painting, a tip from you would be really helpful!.

      Paint it where there is the least amount of dust. And leave it there. Moving it around or placing stuff over it will only attract more dust

    Another question: I tried to remove chrome from some of the plastic parts. I was read somewhere to soak it in bleach for 24 hours. This is a Tamiya Ducati 888 Superbike. However it only partially removed it after 36 hours. I didn't want to leave it in any longer as I was afraid it'd damage the parts. Is there another way to remove it? If not, will priming over it peel off?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  Před 4 lety

      It should not harm the parts if you leave it in longer.

      If you can find Drano (liquid plumber) It removes chrome in minutes and I've left parts in it for a few day's just to see if it harms styrene... Not at all! Great stuff bro, and it's very cheap!

      @@NeonsStyleHD Cool not sure where your from but here in the states Drano sells for 3 bucks and I reuse it... After about 5 to 10 minutes when all the chrome is gone, I pour the rest back into the bottle of Drano, I haven't had to spend another whole 3 bucks in over a year and it still removes chrome in minutes! I got that tip from Dr.Cranky... Great builder if your not subbed to him check him out, I hope this helps bro! Happy building!! 🏁🏁👍

    I don't want to sound like a nit-picky person But I notices you used Hemi orange. I was just wondering if "Zero paint" make Chrysler engine red? Or do they just make Hemi orange for engine colors? Also I know its a 1970 car and its a 340, but dose "Zero paint" make Chrysler engine turquoise? I have a 1/25 scale 1968 Dodge dart with a 440. In 1968 Chrysler painted all 440's in turquoise.

    • @ninjapumkin
      @ninjapumkin Před 4 lety

      Semi gloss undercoating is correct. There would only be a slight over spray from painting the body colour onto the undercoating. Typically the factory went 6-12” with overspray depending on where car was built. But for a model it is a great clean job. Nice work

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  Před 4 lety +2

      @@ninjapumkin i know, though i was not recreating the factory look, more of a restored custom look with a nice undercoating to help deaden the road noise and make it look neater.
